• Done missed an easy chance.
• Billy missed a sitter.
• Scoogs hit the post. I think. Someone did - it was down the other end.
• Baxter had a free right foot shot from the edge of the box and a harder left foot one.
• Billy put Che through but he was off balance and couldn't stay on his feet.
• Scoogs had an air shot from around the penalty.spot, or the edge of the area.
• Basham.got a free header in at the back post from a set piece, looked like it was.cleared off the line.

All in the second half.

(First half was poor - an early chance for Bash, and Billy hitting the post, besides the goal.)

When I saw the defence and Scougall in the team I sighed and thought we wouldn't win. I would have taken a point then.

He hasn't played well for 18 months. Why is he getting selected?

The answer is there's no one else. And there's no one else due to injuries and, from what I heard yesterday, there's no money. Not even for loans.

As for the defence , I feel for Adkins. If everyone was fit only one (or none) of that back four would be first choice, and it's cruel luck that Edgar is injured as well.

But unfortunately this is where we stand for the season unless we sell in January or some of our crocks get fit.

about today : Oldham won 1 in 11 - and had 10 men for 30 minutes - hence the reaction at the end.

We have been stuffed most of the season in midfield.

Without either

(a) strength in your centre pair
(b) a very busy midfield who pass and move

then we will get no where - Baxter and Scoogs didn't work last year (IMO) in a 5 under Clough - it won't work in a 4 either.

I think Baxter's had a great few games but that was an all time classic. It went on the stadium roof.
