We've played 1 match, there's 45 to go.
Yeah it wasn't a good performance last night, but we also had a bit of a makeshift defence and still have players to return.
Goals change games and who knows how it could have panned out if N'Diaye had scored in the first half. Equally Watford could have taken the lead earlier too.
We've lost MGW and it's a loss for sure. But we still have pretty much everyone else from last season and have brought in Khadra and now hopefully the McAtee to help the attack. Doyle is highly rated too.
We didn't have GibbsWhite for a month too last season (Post signing him) and did still pick up wins. Obviously he was a real talent though and near on not replaceable.
But lets not start the season by slagging our team off. I've seen so many posts stating Fleck and Norwood are finished, Osborn is no good, Berge looks un-interested etc.
Our record of opening day matches is largely dire. I don't think we've won one since 2017.
Last season that performance against Birmingham who ended up being very midtable was worse than last nights.
You could at least see some process like we had last season at times but what let us down was passing in their half and general attack play just not sharp enough.
Millwall will be tough, they always are, but if we can go into the match knowing we will need to score at least 2 as Cooper will score that's a good start.
