Dont know why people keep dragging poor old trevor brooking into it the guy had absoloutely nothing to do with the tevez stuff and it makes us look as stupid and ill uninformed as they are

Did anyone see any bollocks? Or did it pass off peacefully? Hopefully the latter for those that went.

Saw coins being thrown and their fans to the right tried to rush through the police cordon at the end. Wasn't much at all though, not enough to ruin a great night.

Blades Player highlights are shocking. Everyone of West Ham's attacks and our goal. Sounded like we came close a few times on the wireless.

And anyone who thinks Sir Trevor has no influence and status within the PL and particularly the FA is either naive, stupid or ill-informed.

He may have had some influence at the f.a where he was employed during the tevez scandal
But it was the f.a who brought this to light and then were involved in the arbitration process that found in our favour

He wont have any influence at all in the premierleague board which is made up of the memver clubs chairman and then scudamore and at the time dave richards

They are the real villians in this they set up an indepent inquiry with three qc's none of which were sir trevor brooking contrary to popular belief and it was they who devided west hams punishment

See nothing to do with sir trev so now who is stupid naive and ill informed ?

O dear!

27800 WATCHED US BEAT WEST HAM
22000 more than saw wednesday at burnley

This was a cup game against a perceived enemy priced at ten quid for adults and a fiver for kids.

West Ham need to find another 26,000 fans for the Olympic stadium, where exactly are all these fans coming from?

If you know something i dont please share it

Like other members of the FA, Brooking would meet with PL board members on a regular basis, they were not mutually exclusive entities. In fact as Director of football development Brooking was in direct contact with all the PL clubs and their academy on a regular basis. As a leading light at the FA at this time, it's bonkers to think that this wouldn't be the case. Indeed roll on a few years and it was Sir Trevor with Dave Richards deciding whether or not Fabio Capello stayed as England manager. They are all linked and connected.

To think that the name Trevor Brooking and his reputation and standing in the game had no bearing on any of those decisions made regarding Tevez, seems strange to me. The man had influence in the upper echelons of the game in this country, directly or otherwise, it would be a contributory factor.

Finally we put one over West ham last night.
