Win or lose I will sleep well comfortably knowing that West ham would have to win the League Cup at least 15 times before they recoup the £25m that they had to cough up to us for their cheating antics!

West ham are without Kevin Nolan he's out injured but Fat Sam has hinted that he will change it around a bit and give him new boys a run out and stuff.

As for us I can't see us changing it that much but will probaby go for the 1 up front thing again I would imagine.

But the first 80 minutes will be irrelevant anyway. It is all about super Chris Porter coming in the 80th minute and scoring a brace for us to win as we all know :D

They will beat us quite comfortably and no one will ever know or care about the injustice of it all
Most neutral fans think we are just whingers who cant accept defeat and all the celebrity west ham fans seem to want to doa demolition job on the club , even some of our own fans wpuld rather blame neil warnock
Cant wait till this is over

I doubt Chris Porter will be able to score while the ball is in the corner:D

Jerry Springer would be ideal if you want to chat to anyone.

I wouldn't say I don't care but it's certainly not a play-off to decide the rights and wrongs of the Tevez affair. That is beyond argument.
My feeling is that it's just a league cup game against a premier league side. It'd be a nice boost if we play well and won like in the FA cup games last season when expectation was low.

But I can also see us getting a beating, it's expected really. But you never know.

Here's to a 1-2 blades smash and grab. Losing until 87th minute and then two late goals

I agree with all that Swiss. I'm anxious that it isn't seen as a 'must win' grudge match.

Firstly it is an uneven contest; thanks to their ill-gotten Premiership windfall millions, they have much better players than us.

Secondly, the Tevez argument has been won (by us) and lost long ago.

A West Ham win is highly likely. We should not go into freefall if it happens.

The box office fella told me we had sold around 1,000 tickets on Friday.

I am going, as a last chance to take in a match at Upton Park, before the old place is gone.

Hard to see us getting a result, but you never know. I am thinking of parking at Upminster and catching the tube to Upton Park. Not sure there will be a friendly place to have a pre match ale?

Well I hope we can do this a bring a win away from upton park.
I hate west ham even with the tevez thing aside they think they have a divine right to top flight football and are so up themselves it's untrue..
I hope they move to the Olympic stadium and get relegated,,,complete set of nob heads.
Rant over,,I'm on holiday:)

Well I'm going...and possibly meeting some West Ham fans also, so I'll be able to give you 'all the banter' on my return.

Does anyone know what the TV coverage situation is? I'm going to be gutted if the game isn't televised.

It's doesn't look like it is being televised anywhere in the world mate but then again the League Cup early stages aren't as popular around the world as the FA Cup is therefore generally you only find the big dogs on TV.

I always check with these two sites whether a game is televised anywhere around the world. I have done a search on the second on which shows that out game isn't scheduled anywhere mate.

Ah mate got to say I'm absolutely mortified!! Should of made the trip down to Upton park.

Team news is that Scougs is out tomorrow, McEverley faces a late fitness test but is a big doubt therefore Harris expected to return to full back, Wallace played an hour for U21's today and is expected to be on the bench, other than that nowt new.

Where's all this 'media-hype' some people were predicting about the game? Not on TV and haven't seen or heard anything on the build up. Funnily enough, as predicted, no one cares about this game other than a handful from either side.

Personally, I'd like us to rest all our better players (lol, who are they?) and give some kids a run out. League is priority, don't need any more midweek games.

I'll just be glad when it's out of the way and hopefully we won't have been spanked, but I doubt it.

Saw an article on NewsNow from the ‘Daily Star’. Apparently Blades fans are ‘in fear for their safety’ so are boycotting the game. I actually took the full 20 seconds to read the article, but the only justification they seem to have for the apparent safety fear boycott was the fact that we’d sold 900 of our 3500 allocation. There wasn’t even a quote from self-appointed Blades spokesman Alan Smith. Just low ticket sales and a few comments (threats) by fans on the internet .
Personally I think its just that Blades aren’t that bothered. I think some of the Media hype and our relatively poor start to the season has also contributed. But 900 fans on a Tuesday night game in East London probably doesn’t inspire people too much, especially as its also the summer holiday season still. Whilst it was a little interesting when we were drawn against them, I’m no more excited than if we were to play any other Premier League side. I think you’d get a greater excitement for someone like Derby, Leicester or Forest away as they’re a lot more accessible

Win, lose or draw, The Shammers will be confined to a soulless plastic bowl after this season, forever more.

We won the moral argument, they proved that cheating can pay. But all that premiership money hasn't prevented them from selling their soul. From a fine, historic English stadium to a plastic monument of all that's wrong with modern football - they deserve nothing less.

Here's to a clear conscience and a lifetime of football at a real footballing home.

If this was a Saturday,we would have propably sold out,so as for the fear of our lives bullshit they come out with, they really don't know us blades do they.I reckon there will be more near to 1,500 on the night as i know quite a few who are buying on the night.

They don't scare us,its the tuesday night that scares us:D

wizadry seems west ham fans are scared too, they haven't sold all their tickets either and the ones that are going will be hiding behind horror masks!

I just can't be bothered. If we were playing in the championship I might have considered it, but to go tonight will just be a reminder of how cheating pays, and how much of a shambles we've been since we got relegated.

What is frustrating is the way history has been rewritten to make out that the nasty unsporting northerners picked on everyone's favourite club and tried to use the courts to avoid relegation!

Listened to Talk "cor blimey guvner" sport this morning, I have never heard a more one sided review. Colin Murray should be ashamed.

I hate the premier league, Scudamore and the FA, who have right royally screwed the sport of football.

FFS they beat Palace and they think their world beaters

West Ham will always be bouncing from the championship to the Prem and back.

Duxbury on Tevez: "We did absolutely nothing wrong"...

Thanks Sothall, now I'm seething all again. At least now we know why McCabe didn't take them to the cleaners. So they manage to cheat, lie, cheat, lie, get away with it (by staying up) and when finally they get some kind of comeuppance they find a way to weasel out of half what they should've paid us. And this biased twit accuses us of extortion. I can't wait for tonight to be done with.
