Can't believe the amount of people getting on Brewster's back here - it's his first few mins back from injury again - he wasn't that bad! When he had the shot people are moaning about, the West Brom commentary thought it was a useful effort 🤷🏼‍♀️
And to think that folk were complaining about the commentary team 😉

It's just always the same. The ball bounces off him. He doesn't think about what he's going to do with it before it arrives and his defensive play is solely getting himself between the opponent and ball.

If you are calling the likes of me a Queen cunt/pussy of the moaning wet rags , i hate to imagine what you were calling our team in that first 30 mins 😂
I wasnt calling them anything as I have faith in my team, and and don't start crying like a 6 year old who has been told they can't have some haribo when we play a little under par.

You can’t moan with point away especially against a promotion rival.

I do worry about our inability to put together a sustained period of dominance in a game.

Understanding you don’t get 90 minutes but we swing to and thro in a game so much it’s crazy

I have to agree despite the poor performance. Missing 4 first teamers, including both cb's. Hopefully we will not see that defence again this season though
Yep … you’ve got a make shift CB pairing and both first choice CB out.

You’ve then got a 19 year old kid leading the line for 30mins.

And then Peck who’s still cutting his teeth.

A point away is a great result considering

I’ve always given him the benefit of the doubt because of his terrible injuries and the fact he appears to be a nice kid but he’s currently trying far too hard for himself. Something Wilder needs to work on with him?
Maybe , but then he's had a long time to do that , with little progress.
I know he only had 15 mins today but I didn't see any of his touches as helpful to the cause.
We are obviously in a great position to challenge for autos and we don't really have time to "cure" him of whatever is making his performances ineffective
Of course one feels sorry for the lad's situation but we need a reserve striker who can do something , anything , to help us over the line.
With Campbell now looking like a hamstring + Moore still out , I doubt Brewster is our man.
Even CW brings young One on before him and One is clearly not ready.
Brewster's time here seems irretrievably jinxed - he needs a fresh start somewhere else next summer and we need a fit & firing striker in January.

I think that's harsh. For instance he played that fantastic ball out to the left wing from midfield today. A player that's had so many injuries and such a stop start few years is never going to look great until they can actually get a decent run surely - look at him before he got the last really bad injury and how well he'd started to link up with Billy. We finally thought we might have started to see the real Brewster then he got injured yet again. I'm sure there's a good player there but I guess we won't see it unless he can actually stay fit for more than a few weeks at a time.

"Then he got injured again" ad nauseum. Just think what we could do now, with the £18m/£23m ( delete as what you deem). Regardless, autos would be virtually assured. Wilder continues to select him out of a stubborn belief he'll one day justify the ridiculous millions we/he foolishly paid. And to think we used to rip the piss outbof the pigs for spunking £10m on Rhodes! Jeez.

It's all hindsight though isn't it, you could never predict all the problems he's had. At the time we signed him he was the next big thing. And to spend all that money was actually really exciting. Just kind of typical really 😫

No you could never predict it. He was a risk at 23 million and a vanity purchase based upon his parent club and a purple patch loan spell. As you say, the next big thing. But it doesn’t alter the fact that whenever he has actually managed to get on the pitch he was and is woeful. I wish it weren’t so but it gets irritating when posters maintain against all evidence and rationality that he “will come good.” It’s an opinion I suppose. Maybe I should STFU and accept some people have a different view and the world maybe flat and held up on the back of turtles.

yeah spot on post with the team we had out it was a fantastic point but even with our 2 centre backs back we still need 3 good new recruits in january

Agreed 👍 where would you recruit?

I would go striker, Midfield and LB…

If we could go one more I would go for RB as an upgrade on Gilchrist / Sereki … but that’s not needed as such

Here's the team that started against WBA away.

Seriki,Souza,Cambell,Rak-Sakyi could all be missing....................on the positive side we will have Moore,Ahmedhodzic,T Davies starting in the return fixture
