Would rather have Robinson personally but wilder knows better than me

If this Burke kid is lazy and all that blah that West Brom fans say, the first thing that will happen is he'll die for about 2 months while he gets used to the fitness regime, so I wouldn't expect to see much from him before late Autumn (if he does come good).

Phrase of the day seems to be 'had their pants down', depending on what we have paid for this deal I'd say we'd been done. Hope I'm wrong.

If we have paid more than a few million then I reckon we have been lubed and shafted.

“If we actually get rid of Burke I will do a little dance. Kids an absolute wanker”

It's what we are at the Lane init?

You only have to watch his interview He seems quite shy and quiet and even lacking in confidence. This is a definite Wilder project. Get him believing and Blades Analytics stats say we have a good player

I'm hoping United were the ones receiving money...

Sheffield United received the fee I believe...

But I can’t get my head round this, all I can think is that we’ll be using the funds generated to buy an actual Premier League striker. That would be good business.

Robinson assisted McBurnie for the last minute equaliser vs Man Utd and scored against Chelsea. Burke requires over 10 games to score a goal...

Burke is likely coming to take Clarke’s vacant place in the squad.

If he can use his pace and power to drag defenders out of position as they try to track him, allowing more skilful players through on goal, I'll be happy. It's not all about how many you score or set up, it's about how you influence play. IWWT

They seem to be pleased he has gone, don't they? let's hope Wilder has the magic to make him a success

I’ve never knocked a Wilder signing but surely this has to go down as the worst of the lot.

He’s played about 120 games so far.

And scored 11 goals...
Yep let’s right him off as Wilder’s worst ever signing before he even has enough time to figure out where the bogs are, let alone before a ball had been kicked.

to be fair - he will know where the kop bogs are - the new players all have a compulsory photo shoot outside them.

If anyone can turn this lad into a star..........THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE

That sounds like a quotation from the movie Highlander LOL

There's only one question to ask after any transfer business. Is the squad stronger?

Questionable if you compare Robinson and Burke directly, but given the squad we have and the role we needed to fill I'm hopeful Burke will be a better fit for what we need.

Have to say, I was disappointed in Robinson, some neat touches but really failed to take the step up in standard. That he did well back in the Championship was no surprise, but assuming we recouped the £8m we paid out and got Burke for a figure less than that then I am happy enough, especially as WBA had paid £15m for Burke. Given that fact, no wonder they are pissed off with him!

According to Soccer Base Burke had only made 17 starts and 35 substitute appearances ( they could be of minimal time) , scoring 7 goals when WBA paid 15 million for him and that is £15 million three years ago. Not sure that was great business! He has only started 2 games for them and yes made 18 sub appearances But again we don't know how many minutes and under what circumstances. But he was 20 years old. Therefore I am not really sure what the fans are judging him on. Reference to him playing for Scotland - he played the other night for the first time in a game in which Scotland were crap. It is easy to blame forwards for a team not scoring goals, it is easy to say they don't look bothered when they are playing in front of crap midfield players and have no clue where they are going to boot the ball.
At 23 the lad has only started 42 games.
Now if we signed a 20 year old striker or had a 20 year old striker we had brought through the ranks what would we be doing with him?
By the way Brewster is 20 and has started 19 games and made 1 sub appearance Yes scored 10 goals But he is not a proven £20 million striker that some would like to think

It's a weird one. Two teams both exchanging players they don't think are up to the job. Hopefully we've received a fee as well because you've got to imagine Burke would've cost less than we spent on Robinson.

This is the first time ever in the Wilder era that I think we’ve been fleeced. Hopefully I’m wrong.

this lad has no track record for goals. We are desperate for someone better than what we have , and he isn’t it.
