Just finished. It was worth the wait, and if anything slightly better reading it six months down the line!

Looking forward to the next one now. Maybe keep to doing them every two years, and base it around next season’s tilt at the Champions’ League (titled “From the Bescot to the Bernabeu”).

The bit where Wilder subs Basham at half time in the defeat against Leeds is a galling read, as well as the aftermath of the playoff final defeat. I wouldn’t bother finishing it if I were you.

To be fair he was awful in the first half so can see why Wilder did it.
