We're nearly as good as Arsenal!

Master Bates
Seaman Stains and Roger the cabin boy.
Less of the Black pig, more the good ship Venus.
None of these names ever existed, it was Mr mate and tom the cabin boy and the creator successfully sued the Guardian for damages , who then subsequently released this statement in 1991 , -We stated that the Captain Pugwash cartoon series featured characters called Seaman Staines and Master Bates, and for that reason the series had never been repeated by the BBC. We accept that it is untrue that there ever were any such characters. Furthermore, the series continues to be shown on television and on video. We apologize to Mr. Ryan, the creator, writer and artist of the Captain Pugwash films and books. We have agreed to pay him damages and his legal costs

Imagine how much we'd have disgraced ourselves against Arsenal last night, glad we lost to Fleetwood now!

Also all the furore over Neal's tackle on Dowman is insane aint it, it's a quality tackle (sort of tackle we miss tbf!)

The co-commentator (Hinchliffe? If so, no surprise) tried to make out that he “left a little bit on” after the tackle (he didn’t) and that Dowman didn’t do much wrong (he did, he kicked him). He then said it was at best a yellow and that the lad is only 16 as if that should let him off! His manager wasn’t as forgiving as he trudged off! He IS a young lad but the red teaches him the lesson he needs to learn. Letting him off wouldn’t really do much good (except, come to think of it, get him used to the leniency reserved for big 6 teams in the Premier league)

Fleetwood's goal was class and shows everything that stinks about PL and now increasingly Championship football.

Pick up the ball, see the goal and go for it, don't even think about diving at the slightest contact, goals like that and players like that are the reason I'm spending my money going to Sheffield FC and Matlock Town instead of Blades away days for the last couple of years.

What a nail biter so pleased for Fleetwood town their Manager Owners Fans Stewards Tea ladies and any one else. How great for them and I agree if we'd played them it would have been a different result I'm afraid

My enjoyment of the upset was somewhat dampened by the knowledge that Max Dowman wasn't born when we first signed Ched Evans and yet they were playing against each other last night

Peter Drury commentating said something like "And the wonder kid has been expelled" 🤣

Ledge!
