We. Could. Still. Do. This.!!! Dream's still alive. Wisdom of geese, Sun Tzu, Martyn Woolford & all.

We will have points deducted for playing an ineligible Goose.

It's more likely we'll finish 6th, win our semi final 12-0 on aggregate, be 2-0 up in the final and then lose 3-2 in the 98th minute.

Nah 15 -14 down in the penalty shoot out when Hammond steps up and....

Why?

We win tonight
Gillingham draw with Rochdale tonight

Gillingham beat Shrewsbury on Saturday
We beat Barnsley on Saturday

Gillingham lose/Draw to Burton
We beat Coventry

Gillingham lose/draw to Millwall
We beat Scunthorpe

We finish 6th. You heard it here first folks.

*bold underlined italics indicates bad result fucks this whole theory up :D

The Coventry game worries me as does Saturday but to be honest the fact we're still in it till the end is a lot better than what it looked like after the result v Burton. Much credit needs to go to Adkins under immense pressure since Christmas too.

Anything higher than 8th for me this season is a bonus, I question why its taken us to fall so far behind the Play offs to start "performing". It just goes to show we don't have the bad bunch of players that people seem to slate so much after all.

Anything higher than 7th would still be a fuckin miracle if you ask me....... But miracles do happen and if we sneaked in I reckon we would win it

Don't worry, I've predicted it and we're gonna finish 6th. Sneaking in on the last day after Barnsley draw v Wigan and Gills draw v Millwall.

I don't think so. For starters, Rochdale are in my view winning all their remaining games – winnable games at Vale and Colchester with an easy win at home to Swindon in between. Bradford on the other hand could conceivably draw their remaining games against Walsall, at Southend, and hosting Chesterfield who may still have to get something.

To think we're in with a shout is a miracle in itself after we looked out of it around a fortnight ago.

It would take every result to go our way though for us to sneak in.

Im going for the usual last day heartache and a 7th place finish.

It's not just about Gillingham though is it? Barnsley are 4 points ahead of us with better goal difference. Rochdale have an easy run-in. It will probably go down to the last day and we need to win every game to stand a chance.

Only +5, though. Win on Saturday and it's just one point ahead and the GD will have reduced.

Bloody Dingle winner was a killer. Would have been sweet to beat them on Sat and go above them. As it is now they'll prob beat us to end our hopes and it will go down in Dingle folklore like the time they sent us down. Except they actually didn't.

I reckon Dales tricky fixture is Port Vale away. They hit chessie for 4 and beat the gills at the weekend. A lot depends on how other teams play come near the end of the season, for example if Wigan are champs before they play Barnsley on the last day it makes it party time with nothing for them to play for. If Millwall are guaranteed a play off spot they might rest players v Gillingham

If so, we will need to win ours by a greater margin. Although I can see us winning our final three it will be tight, and it's hard to see us winning them by more than a single goal. Rochdale should beat Colchester and Swindon comfortably, but Vale on Saturday could be a draw. Vale could still finish on 71, so on paper it's not a totally meaningless game for them.

Dale aren't great away from home though

As opposed to the usual play off defeat, probably at Wembley this year! Its the hope that kills you!

if we catch Barnsley on points we'll probably catch them on goals as well. Still have to worry about Rochdale and Scunny as well. Gills are still the team likely to do us on points or goal difference

74 pts would be good enough last 5 years, but I think we'll either drop out by Coventry or on final day

But positives that if we can get near or surpass last season's total considering how dreadful we have been this season that asolid ddefence next season & we cant possibly fail surely haha

Not sure that 1900ish tickets for Coventry will be enough at this rate ....

If we beat the Dingles and Gillingham fail to beat a desperate Shrewsbury. Me thinks Coventry will have to send us a few more tickets than 1,931. . . . .

Without being disrespectful, Its not like they have been short of room at ricoh arena this season with an average attendance of 12, 000 in 30000 stadium

To have any chance at all we must win all games regardless on what other teams do,theres a few twists and turns yet but if any set of fans needs a slice of luck then its us..............but we all know the footballing gods dont usually look our way.
Can one imagine the lane rocking on the last day?!?!!!!........,,,could be one of them good uns we all crave, nothing anywhere can match a blades in house party, nothing!!
Fingers crossed

If nothing else, it's nice to see a bit of belief and excitement about the place again.

Come on Blades, you can do this!
