Bit worrying how we have fallen behind in last few weeks.

Swindon and Brentford have a game in hand, and against all the odds Tranmere keep rolling on. Coventry and Bournemouth look menacing just outside the top six, and MKD, in the shake-up have two games in hand.

This analysis is a bit disturbing.

A BIT!!!
This current group of players aint good enough IMO to put together a run to pressure the top two.

It's not just the players
The manager has no bottle, no imagination and no balls
1-0 up against 10 men and he doesn't change a thing
Scared stiff of losing - Wilson you're on borrowed time!
Spot on FB.
The mask is slipping!!

less than a month ago we were top of the league ,we have lost 3 important players from the spine of our team ,we have hit a blip in our season , other teams will have the same. What we dont need is fans turning against the team now which will impact even more on confidence.

There is no excuse at all for piss poor effort against 3 very poor sides

Sitwell, it's not a blip - not won now for four league matches
Perfect opportunity today 1-0 up - opposition down to 10 men
Does Wilson change it it capitalise on the numerical advantage - No
Wilson is tactically niaive, has no backbone and no imagination
According to McDonald this week United are far better than any other team in the league and should walk the league - it's about time someone had a word with Mr McDonald - we're not as good as as you think you are!
Yes, we lost Miller, Collins and Hill- Miller wasn't deemed good enough to get a starting spot during the first half of the season and Hill is a back up full back and centre half - other sides in this league get injuries and can't bring in players such as Higginbotham and Murphy !

Lack of quality is difficult to accept (given the wages we pay compared to others in this Division). Lack of quality and lack of effort/determination is unacceptable. Week in week out we seem to just let games drift by.

You slagged wilson off when we only lost 1 in 30 odd ,did we have no backbone or imagination then ? A couple of bad results (is a draw away at Notts THAT bad) and we should change the management at the club ,despite the fact we cant spend any money ,I think someone else is showing a lack of backbone ,imagination and nouse.

I'm not necessarily advocating that Wilson goes because it scares the crap out of me for who we might replace him with, given McCabe's track record.

So we're stuffed for another season then.

Its certainly tightened up. We need to steady the ship now.

We've really dropped off since Crawley, we were in control before that, but have made a mess of things.

The position we were in, 0-1 against 10 men we should've held on for 3 points or pushed for another. We didn't. We ended up with a draw. But at the start of the game, i'd have taken 1-1. The worst thing for us would've been a cancelled fixture. February is very busy, what with the FA cup game at the end of Jan, we've moved the Crawley game to mid feb.

So we need some big points and an unbeaten run... Its started today. Now build on it again.

We must win on Tuesday (if game goes ahead), its that simple. Another game without a win, especially a catch up game and we will start to seriously fall a drift. 8 points isnt a massive gap with the games left but it appears that Tranmere and Donny are over the dips. So we need to turn it around and soon. How? I don't know.

its turning into a big blip
DW can't take credit for Miller he didn't want to play him until the fans got on his back
same owd same owd.. early goal.. one nil up.. oppo man sent off .. ten minutes gone.. shutters down .. hang on for a win.. fuck up..ring any bells?? Walsall home??
his management style is far too conservative.. the team reflect him.. dour .. non commital.. arms folded.. i don't care about his past involvements.. i don't think he can do it.. i've tried to remain positive and made myself look a c**t at times for doing so but that Yeovil game was the last straw for me
we are either complacent or not ruthless enough i can't work it out but it is down to the manager

I agree with Foxy/Linz's tweet. Time to shake up the central midfield as it's not functioned for far too long. Rest Doyle, get some young legs in, play Murphy and Blackman either side of Kitson in a 4-3-3.

But does Mr Wilson have the balls to do this?? Tuesday's nights game (if on) now has massive massive significance

Even last season ? The heirarchy deemed to take 67 goals off him in the summer ,wtf is he expected to do ?

So we need to turn it around and soon. How? I don't know.

Well we can start with this line up:

Long, Maguire, Higginbotham, McMahon, Kennedy, McDonald, Whitehouse, Blackman, Flynn, Murphy, Ironside.

Then, Wilson can get ask the players how much they really want it. Give them a rocket and then give them an ultimatum, show some passion and get us promoted or you'll definitely not be playing for us next season.

Afterwards, Wilson makes the players practice the things they constantly get wrong or don't do e.g. pose an attacking threat from a corner, defend properly etc.

Then, someone tells Wilson that there is absolutely no point in bringing on a substitute with 5 minutes left and someone explain to him how to actively change a game when things aren't going our way.

Furthermore, Wilson withdraws captaincy off of Doyle and gives it someone else. He then tells this said person to calm the team down at times; to take control of situations and to motivate the team to win games.

After all that, we should be fine :)

It's OK we've got Mr Motivator, looked well up for it on his first day in the job didn't he?

Perhaps his mind was on when to make substitutions?

replace them.. that is his job ultimately

Pathetic result against ten men & a team not in with a chance of promotion.

Wilson has blown it already.

We either make a change now or mess up promotion.

We simply cannot stay another year in this league.

Why is it that when things are going well it's to be expected from you happy boys, when we turn to crap it's always just a blip? Seriously, when we started to go tits up last season it was just a blip, same the season before and the season before that. Strange how these "blips" tend to change the course of the season and strange how these blips tend to drag on so long that you can't simply put them down to a temporary aberration.

Could be that we were spoiled early on and that this is the true face of Sheffield United. I keep saying it, and my loyalty gets questioned because of it (which is as offensive as it is laughable) but we really don't have a very good squad, we aren't that much better than most teams in this division and the manager is a dour character who's no better or worse than dozens of others out there. We're a stagnant club for me, very very sad to see to be honest but we've been here before and shit happens. We're all Blades on here aren't we?

not having a go at anybody, but were crap. weve been crap all season. we were crap when we were top of the league. weve only played well about twice all season. anybody clinging on to hopes of a top 2 is wearing the rose-tinteds.

obviously, we will still be the biggest club in the league. and the best team in the league. like we have been all season. when we finish 9th, about 28 points behind tranmere! its actually quite amusing now.

we either carry on as we are, and try to scrape 6th spot ahead of coventry and bournemouth, or we get rid of wilson and start again (admittedly probably with some other muppet mccabe can find who hes heard of) playing the youngsters more and accept mid-table. not really bothered which to be honest. if somehow hell freezed over and we won the play offs, we'd be lucky to get 30 points next year with the team weve got.

Can one of you tell me who we should replace Wilson with ,and Barlow etc . Blue peter badge to the ones who answer Adkins or Matteo.
