Listening to it on the radio it sounded like we were cruising until they got the goal but like Sitwell said is a point at County a disaster ok they were down to 10 men early and as we know that can work against you a lot of the time.

Ok I think now is the time to pitch the youngsters in put that carthorse Kison on the bench and start Ironside with Murphy and Blackwell.
Mcfazdene and Whitehouse in Doyle and Flynn out
McMahon, Kennedy,McGuire,Higgingbottom at the back.

Why should I? I'm just a fan who has to put up with what's on offer, I have no say in the running of the club. The man at the helm professes to be as big a Blade as me, he can see what's happening, he can do something about it so why doesn't he? The ball's in his court not mine, he's holding all the aces unfotunately so me coming up with a list of names won't make a jot of difference. Come on Superblade, time to show us just how massive a Blade you are again.

Anyone else want to offer justification that on 22 Dec 2012 we won 2-0 away (rather unconvincingly) and went top of the league and now we are less than a month on, eight points behind any hope of automatic and our balloon is deflating fast?

Face it. We'll end up in the playoffs, once again, everyone will traipse to Wembley, once again, we'll fail to score, once again, and end up looking like cunts, once again.

I have decided not to hit the panic button, not yet anyway.

I don't think getting a new manager is the answer either. Despite listening to the views of the majority of callers on the radio.

I don't think much of the view that we should be top just because we have a bigger following than the other teams, or that we pay higher wages. These points count for nothing once the game starts, and our players have to earn the right to win by playing better football.

We can not really afford any more slip ups, but we still have a big chance given that we have to play all of the teams around us again (excluding Donny).

Less than a month ago we were top, and most would agree we had not really taken the league by storm to arrive at that position. Since then we have lost a number of regular first team players, Collins, Hill and Miller who was looking the part up front. This has knocked us off the rails a bit. Two new players in as well.

Come on Danny, Come on players pull your socks up and get going. I have the faith. We can still do it.

we went top when nobody else was doing much. we were scraping wins too. we could easily have been mid table really, at least 6 of our wins we could easily have lost never mind drawn. now everybody else is starting to win regularly, were under pressure and we cant hack it. plus our luck has run out. losing players, miller especially, has been a big blow though. but thats not down to luck, its down to not having very good replacements. its a squad game, not a starting xi game. and were being shown up for not having a good enough squad.

This. We lost a bunch in the summer, all of whom contributed to the goals for column in some way. Now the key players in this side are out, surprise surprise we've got fuck all to come in and deputise.
Sacking Danny, while appealing to some won't happen simply because we don't have a pot to piss in for a replacement. Personally I wish he'd be more adventurous, but when looking at the options what do we have? Cressy who is fit for the knackers yard and a bunch of youths who've never played.

So shall we just say that Tranmere and Doncaster have pulled away a bit because nobody else is doing much?
 
I think if the players (most of them signed by Wilson) put in a performance worthy of a side challenging for promotion, then these message boards wouldn't be so negative.

For far too long our performances have lacked drive, desire, urgency and quality,

I know a few Bristol City and Swindon fans, and they have told me a similar tale about Danny Wilson teams, and it appears that for all our improved image as a footballing side, we lack the bite and killer instinct to grab this desperately poor division by the scruff of the neck.

Maybe the cup match next week will be a welcome distraction.

Whilst I'm not saying Doyle is a world beater, I would ask who we could replace him with. Seriously, we've gone from the completely clueless Nick Montgomery to the almost equally as useless Michael Doyle. We're in this division for a reason, we aren't very good. We don't have good first team players and the bench warmers aren't much better.

As I say, Doyle may need dropping but I've thrown in the towel with expecting us to pull some rabbit out of the hat and produce anyone who can do any better. I'm sick and fucking tired of having the same argument year after year because we have a bloke in ultimate charge who couldn't give two fucks whether we sink or swim. Maybe time to go Doyle, maybe time to go Wilson but for me the root of all evil will be the last to go, and that's McCabe. He got us where we are today and please don't expect him to bust a gut trying to get us out of it. I'm fed up with the lot of them, they aren't worth a shit.

Although Monty wasn't very good, he always gave 100%; a player can be partly excused if they're crap and give it their all. Unfortunately, Doyle isn't very good and he doesn't give it his all and that is why he's quickly becoming unpopular.
 
There's a lot of stick being dished out to Doyle, but, what about our superstar Kmac??
When was the last time he genuinely put in a performance of the quality which a lot seem to hold him in such high regard for?? I think i'd rather Willo back!! :( I'm off for a brandy!

We had progress yesterday....KMac got into the opposition box twice and had one shot :eek:
