Just to hijack this thread, I am sick of Sky TV fucking around with match days/dates.
I have been a season ticket holder, along with Mrs G, for donkeys years, love match day (like we all do) and try and plan my holidays and overseas work travel around Sheffield United.
So when Saturday afternoon and Tuesday night games suddenly become Friday night and Wednesday night, or some other such stupid thing, it means it is often too late for me to cancel and change travel plans. I can't be the only one in this situation.
A pig fan I know told me at the weekend, that they are going on a six week (or six game) run (or something like that) with no Saturday afternoon football.
Saturday afternoon at 3pm IS football, we all know that.
Fuck off Sky and fuck Wednesday!
How can it be a Wednesday match if its played on Friday

think we're playing Derby on a Wednesday, and it will be played in the sky - assume this means a 5 a side on the roof of the copthorneI'm confused are we playing Pigs or Derby?
Can't see anything coming up for 'Wendnesday'.

Honest question here for those who complain about Sky moving matches.
Do you have Sky Sports? Do you ever sit down on a Friday night, Saturday lunch, Saturday early evening, Sunday Daytime, Monday night, Tuesday Night or Wednesday night and watch football on Sky?
I get that it can be annoying if a match is moved and it means you can no longer go to it, but if you take advantage of watching football on Sky at your convenience then you shouldn't complain when it becomes a personal inconvenience.
Obviously if you don't pay for Sky Sports then just ignore me and carry on complaining as much as you like......
John Helm used to pronounce it as ‘Wed-nes-day’. Bell end. I pronounce it as ‘scum sucking cunts’.Possible correct spellings for wendnesday

More good news - Mafeking has been relieved.Sorry if this has been posted already, just wanted folk to know looks like the Derby match has been moved to Friday 9th November KO 19:45 and it's on Sky.
Whilst I agree with the sentiment, all our competitors get the same money. The pool of players stays the same, only the price goes up. Nothing alters, really.I don’t have Sky but still don’t feel able to complain because they give United about 6 million a season to mess with occasional fixtures.
That Sky money ensured we bought Norwood and McGoldrick, so it’s a small price to play to see quality players. Although I lucky to have flexibility where as for others it means thwy might not be able to attend matches.
