So do I. But I think you know the original point I was making, so I'll leave it there.
I'll let others decide on your post!

As an aside my uncle after all the Nazis did to him and his friends married a German girl and had a very happy life despite his memories.

You all take care and enjoy the freedom!

:)

To be fair Pinchy, you're a nasty piece of work at times yourself.

I can be acerbic, sarcastic and occasionally rude.

However I have never wished a young footballer an injury that would firstly hospitalise him and then end his career. I may offend people but I never ever wish them harm (apart from Thatcher, a special case..).

From the first minute this obnoxious bollock-brain arrived on the forum he has displayed relentless aggression, unpleasantness and spite. He is a Grade A cunt. Take a look at his history, if you like. He doesn't have is the sense to choose when, where and with whom to pick an argument.

He's a bit like an Internet version of Monty: Determined, committed, never gives up and will go on all day, but sadly bereft of talent, creativity, elegance or finesse. Like Monty, he will learn eventually that he is very much a traffic cone for those of superior literacy and wit.

This is what I'll do. I promise to leave the forum immediately and never come back provided our self-proclaimed "shithouse" [and never did anyone give themselves a more accurate appellation] does the same. This forum needs my continued presence a great deal less than it needs this loathsome fucker to leave it.

Done must have run the equivalent of a marathon on that pitch tonight. All first half he kept showing for the ball and was hardly ever found with a decent pass. On one such location he was clean away and Billy decided to pass straight into touch.
In contrast Billy hardly moved. He ought to have been embarrassed by his lack of any kind of impact on the game. I do worry that now he is captain , he thinks he's virtually undroppable , and his performances reflect this.
We failed to impose ourselves tonight when in possession and I honestly can't remember what Billy did for most of the game.
Fortunately the defence worked extremely hard and is beginning to look quite cohesive.
But compare our scoring record to Scunthorpe's and you'll see we are miles from the finished article.
To his credit , CW acknowledged that in his interview.
And if Billy doesn't start contributing , he'll get a rude awakening from CW , captain or not.

Cry me a river you bitter little cretin.

I've seen you continually wage a campaign of bare hatred against a manager who left the club 20 years ago, and a player who despite his limitations gave his heart and soul to the club I love and yet draws nothing but utter spite from a two-bob prawn sandwich muncher like yourself. Some fucking nerve you have.

Worse still, I've seen you belittle every single contributor you've ever "debated" with and attempt to assert some faux intellectual superiority that you frankly do not possess in any way shape or form, every single time.

My abruptness is nowhere near as corrosive as your unfounded smarminess and bitchy hatred towards anything that doesn't adhere to your worldview (narrow as it is).

There are plenty of members on here who I disagree with but at least have a modicum of rationality. You have no redeeming features whatsoever. And if I've drawn the ire of a low-grade individual like yourself then I consider it a badge of honour.

Now fuck off and stop admiring me, it's getting creepy.

Ridiculous OP kicked all this off ,we have a good win against decent stubborn opposition and we won as a team ,certain players EEL ,Coutts ,Lafferty and Oconnel were outstanding , the rest played their part in a good strong team performance so why single out players for insults and criticism ?

So because hes captain and deems himself undroppable ,he is deliberately playing crap ,is what you are saying ? Really ?

6 games unbeaten and going too well obviously!

Probably because the performance was not that great and had we been up against slightly better opposition we would have not come away with a win. We can't perform like we did in second half tonight against some of the better teams in this division and get away with it.

Interesting, you must have missed in the first half when Done could have played sharp clean through and played it behind him. They both work hard and are our best options right now. We won by the way

Do you know that rovers had won their last five games on the road before tonight? First 20 minutes i was concerned but we turned it around

Amazing how objectively trying to discuss players performances means people being spiteful cunts.

I think it qualifies as 'spiteful' if the players in question are under 5 foot 9. If two or more posters mildly criticise them then it also becomes a witch hunt.

They've won once away this season. They were unbeaten in 6 league games though, and you could see why.

Maybe so but they were nothing special yet we still made hard work of it. Like I said earlier I am getting sick of us bowing down to teams when they go down to ten men. Anyone watching the last 20 minutes would have thought we had a man sent off.

Thankfully it seems like CW thinks the second half was not great either and will hopefully get our players to overcome the fear of playing against teams with fewer players.

Tyler Durden and Pinchy

Foxy and Linz provide this forum to us for free. It's a lot of work for them, and they do ask that we obey a few simple rules. One of them is this.

We expect our members to remain respectful in the event of disagreements. Personal abuse will not be tolerated and neither will escalating arguments. This forum was set-up to allow all Blades fans to have their say and allow members to debate subjects intelligently.

Some people are never happy unless they've got summat to moan about. So long as we're on a decent run what does it matter?

Being a striker is still a confidence game....and Billy will know he's not been good enough for large parts of the season.
He doesn't need anyone telling him he's been shit, but perhaps will respond better to positivity. Besides, let's be honest, it's just the done thing to say "well played" to players at the end of games and so on.

I'm a critic, have been for most of this season. However, I don't see an issue with trying to raise a man who may well be cheesed off at how he played. Doesn't mean he can be immune from criticism, however it has to be done in a constructive way and at a time when he will take in the points. As he is being subbed probably ain't the time.

I still think he needs to offer a whole lot more with the ball at his feet, and the lack of pace and threat he poses as a result is still a huge issue to me. But in a side that has won recently it is unlikely much will change. If however he gets injured, and someone else comes in to match his goal scoring record, what then??

Mentioning Hitler in a football argument when we buried my Uncle on Friday who was 19 on D Day and seeing all his mates die is such a great post!

Well done......hope you enjoy the freedom to say what you do!

Now this is where you are very very wrong....i'm trying to make him think about things before he makes comments.

I have no desire to make anyone feel bad and I think you are trying to do to me your own pet hate?

Why?

Sorry for your loss Silverfox, and I don't think I'd be alone in showing gratitude for the work he (and others) did for this country.

I would like to point our however, that Adolf Hitler is possibly the most prominent/infamous man in human history, if all it takes to upset or offend you is the mere mention of his name, then the Internet (or the outside world for that matter) probably isn't the place for you.

Billy seemed to be "running on a empty" more this season than last season. When Done broke away, not long after the sending off, he played a low cross but Sharp was miles away. Like last Saturday we didn't have anyone up front to win the ball in the air. Little Harry Chapman is better in the air than either Billy or Matt.

I don't hear Sinclair's voice but was last night's match the first time he praised someone on first name terms?

No one has yet answered my question about why Gary said well played Billy and didn't say anything to anyone else? Why Billy?

Here's a thought. Why not ask the only person in the fucking world who'll know the answer? You know, Gary Sinclair!
Do you think we spent the after match pint discussing the thoughts and idea's of the great man? Did we dissect his pre-match and half time playlist to find any hidden Satanist messages, or critique his birthday/mascot announcements?

For what it's worth I though Billy was below par. Was it bad enough for a thread giving him a going over? Nah, otherwise we might have got one without the "disguise".

On the whole it is bullshit OP's that end up causing fractious threads and this has become a very fractious thread!

If Done took the penalties, he'd be top scorer.

Just saying.
Have you ever see Done score a penalty ? Just saying

Has he ever been a penalty taker at any of his clubs ? Just saying

How do you know Done would have scored ? Just saying

Why is it a competition to slag off Sharp to praise Done ? Just saying

Why do people say 'just saying' when they aren't really saying anything ? Just saying

That was a tough game last night, I don't think anyone really stood out apart from a few moments from Duffy and Coutts.

The way we slag off the one player in the squad every other team at this level would love to have makes we wonder what would have been said about Brain Deane when he was having a quite time during his spell here if the Internet had been going them.

Actually I've a good idea as I remember a few people writing to the Geeen Un advocating that we should sell him and use the money to strengthen the squad. Look what happened then.

No

Don't know.

Have you ever seen him miss a penalty?

I would also suggest that having Billy in the team in case we get a penalty is probably a risky strategy. It's a shame but Billy Sharp is not playing well. Yes, his goalscoring record is good over the past few years (in this league) but right now, he just doesn't look like scoring from open play. He missed another one on one last night and didn't get any of his half chances on target. His control is off, he looks slow both in his running and his anticipation/speed of thought and was substituted again. I think once Lavery is match fit, he will offer more than Billy is. Even from his cameo last night, he looked more agile and quicker.

And if he can take a penalty, should at least match Billy in the scoring charts.

Only if he scored from them BB. Billy had the balls take them and he scored them, every one under really pressure, winning us points and two very late in the game.

Are we convinced that anybody else in the team would have scored them? As for Done, he's scored two from open play like Sharp. Neither are pulling up any trees mate, but Billy will score us another 20+ goals over the season if he stays fit. I'd bank on it personally, but I don't think Done would with or without pens.

I think we should think back to what Keith Edwards contributed to most games except for his goals...although he'd tell it different ;)

Would every team in this division give anything to have Billy in their side?

Yes, they would. I'm glad he's ours.

Sharp's scored two penalties, not three.

So Done wouldn't be top scorer if he scored the pens, nor would anyone else.

But if you look at Billy's open play goals and the number of games he's played in all competitions, it's not good - 3 in 12 starts.

He needs to get going soon. Hopefully he'll go on one of his five game scoring runs.

Hey GB, good to see you, hope you are well. Fair points. And I'm sure you'll accept that I really want Billy to be the goalscoring star he has been. After all, there's nothing quite like seeing a fellow Blade do it on the pitch for us. But right now, I fear a little for him, he just doesn't look right and I'd be tempted to take you up on the bet if you take out the penalties. He mustered 21 (from memory) last season and 7 (again from memory) were penalties.

I'd keep yer money in yer pocket mate, I know how important it is to you old 'uns.:)

Especially with petrol bills like yours;)
