"Well played Billy"

Did you see how awful he is at kicking the ball? yeah it was a good assist to Chapman... but his clearances were terrible, left foot, right foot, he kept kicking the ball out of play and cleared it with his right foot and it went straight back into the box. He's dodgy!
Did you see his covering of the centre half's in the second half ? The lack of support in front of him but defensively good ? The headers he won and the way he got forward more than Freeman. He hasn't been good so far but tonight he was.
You obviously don't like him but at least acknowledge what the majority of fans saw tonight

That was a game not suited to Scougall at all, him up against that midfield looked like something out of The Hobbit.

Tufty says he was feeling sick all game and that's why he was brought off. Quite serendipitous really because Chapman finally showed us a bit of what the fuss about him is. Good cameo lad. Well done.

Anyone want to guess as to how many penalties earnt by other team mates will contribute to this season's total of "20+" ?

That's a pointless argument, you may have well has banged a wok with a spoon as post that.

No one has yet answered my question about why Gary said well played Billy and didn't say anything to anyone else? Why Billy?

Remove Sharp and Scougall from the squad immediately and watch us fly.

Oh wait, that sounds monumentally fucking stupid.

Doesn't it......

I'll leave it to the court of Sheffield United Mob Opinion to decide.
Why Scougall? He's not very good I promise.

And that's in addition to his lack of size and strength.

Hahahaha Lafferty excellent hahahaha
How was he soo bad then?

From what I remember he made quite a few good tackles. Won more headers than not. Intercepted and cut out a few passes. Don't remember his man getting in behind him. He looked confident with his touch. Always tried to get up the pitch to support attack. Cleared one off the line and I thought he read the game well all game. Never got caught out so this may show he's more accustomed to playing fullback. Oh and most importantly he provided that final quality ball we very much needed to break down a stubborn, battling defence. :)

Forget it. A decision has been made that he's rubbish so he can't have had the very solid game my eyes saw tonight. Might as well talk to a brick wall.

I heard him say well done to some munter dancing round her handbag at Maggies. He`s not selective.

Surely "mob opinion" means the majority?

The majority is usually right in most matters....if everyone has their say or vote!

Just saying.

:)

For Laffertys' performance to be labelled anything other than average is utter bollocks. I've seen great and excellent performance mentioned on this site tonight, that's ludicrous, I suggest watch the game back and see how many miss kicks, fluffs, bad passes he makes and his positional sense was shite but i put that down to a change of shape. The ball in was a decent one but Chapman made it a great one, he showed desire and commitment to make sure that ball was going to be his.

As for Billy, he was not very good tonight but we won and he will go again in the next game.

Billy wasn't great tonight but what is wrong with 'well played Billy' to our captain and player of last season?

Nothing wrong really, but last season is gone and he's certainly not captain material. I'll tell you who is though: O'Connell.

Billy was poor tonight. That's all. No further consequences; no mutiny; no carpark demonstration; but poor he was.

There really is no point in talking sense to the individual concerned. A nasty piece of work, I'm afraid.

Hitler, get in....

That's right, I'm disproportionately invoking Godwins Law.

Fair enough, I agree he was poor but think he's a decent captain for us and has changed his attitude slightly to fit it.

If you gave each of our forwards 3 good chances a game, which would you put your half a tanner on to put one away. Has to be Billy, and that`s why he starts for me. Forwards have crap games where they can be anonymous, their game rests mainly on the ammo provided by those behind `em.

A well done Billy was just probably a gee up because he obviously didn`t want to come off. Late goals has been a good outlet for Billy.

He must have been looking the other way then if he thought Lafferty was the worst player on the pitch
Lafferty was awful in the first half with poor passing but made it up by making a good assist and a clearance near the end

No one is suggesting that Lafferty is Roberto Carlos... Just saying he had a decent game and the suggestion that he was the worst player on the pitch is ludicrous.

I don't happen to think he's that good, but tonight he deserves some credit.

Anyone thought that we are winning with Billy scoring but not playing very well. He will play well at some point, but nevermind let's just slate into the team for the fun of it.

We have Coutts with no end product, never will.
Moore who get a nose bleed going up for a high ball
Done, who when shot today went out for a throw

See, I can be fucking pathetic too

Thought it was a toss up tonight as to who was shitter, Sharp or Done.

If it's one thing that's holding us back its a lack of a CF making runs which we can exploit.
