Well played Billy Sharp

Whilst he took his goal well and set one up, he should have had at least 2 more and never worked the keeper on either.

The best crosser of the ball at the club IMHO as was evidenced yet again for today’s assist.

The best finisher, which is more fact than opinion.

The best leader of the line. As above !!

Criminal the lack of PL pitch time he has had.

He had 4 chances today, finished well with one, didn't hit the target with any of the others.

He was the best finisher without a doubt and still is, but that's down to how poor our others strikers are.

Spent £50m+ on strikers and he's still probably our best option.

Now does that reflect on him or the others??

Brewster was simply awful today! If that's a glimpse of how he'll be next season then I'm very worried....

Couple of nice bits of play but needs to stop committing pointless fouls. Probably no point telling him at his age though.

Surely that says more about the other strikers than Billy? 40/50m spent, and he's still hands down the best finisher in the club, the saddest thing is, it's not even close.

We have spent over £55m on strikers since promotion.

How come Didsy and Billy are still the best 2 we have?
Both Individually and as a pairing. Scary when you think about it !

Travesty the gaffer does not see it that way😉.

Should be Dids and Burke for the next 2 but a Sharp n Dids pairing thereafter deserves a run of a few games.

....and why was’nt he on the goal line to block their goal?

If we'd bought two decent, athletic, physical midfielders instead of spunking it on a 5th choice striker - all 3 could be in the starting line up!!

Said the same today.

McGoldrick with 5 league goals and 1 assist, Billy with a couple and looking like the only proper centre forward we have that can reliably kick it inside the posts.

Couple of big money signings and McGoldrick and Sharp is still appears to be the best we've got.

I'm sure we do have better on the books ability wise, but it's totally on the people we've brought in for not having it within themselves to perform in the current circumstances, and I think to some extent the coaching staff for not getting it out of them.

Great performance and goal contributions against a League One side. But we know he can’t do it at PL level, so let’s not revert to playing him please

And my list of strikers who clearly can ‘do it’ at PL level and should therefore be selected ahead of him is ........
