Hull away was the worst experience I ever had as a travelling Blade .

When leaving the ground we got stoned ( as in having rocks chucked at us , not the other ) by a gang of youths picking up ballast from the railway track running behind the terrace we'd been standing on .

It wasn't funny ( unlike the scene from ' The Life of Brian ' ....... )

Ah the merry delight of good old Boothferry Park. What a shit hole that place was. Always aggro there, with both Utd and Hull having a reight nip at each other. It was the poor sods in the middle who got dragged into it that i felt sorry for.

meat pies are about the only good thing about going THAT side of the Pennines :)

oh.......and the road back

UTB

Don't forget the Black Pudding. The only reason I would ever go back to Bury FC. (Unless we drew them in the cup).

Mrs Grappler and me usually stay over, go and find some decent pubs, try MANY different beers.

There, fixed that for you.

Poor old Mrs Grappler being dragged around back street pubs, when she'd rather be at the theatre. You Gleadless Valley lads really know how to give a girl a good time!

Quite fancy jumping on the boat with the kids for this one. With 5,600 there should be a good chance of them reaching general sale....right?

Ah yes , the very home of Black Pudding as confirmed in the wonderful monologue " Three Ha'pence a Foot "

Ah'll tell thi an old fashioned story
As mi grandfather used to relate ......:)

You'd think so. But I was bowling around telling people that Leeds might get close to general sale. It was nowhere near. I do wonder if this was partly down to tickets to the derby being on sale around the same time, and people who were calling for that were getting Leeds tickets either as well as Wendy tickets or instead of after they'd sold out. Either way, it's a lot trickier to get tickets at the moment. Best option is to keep calling to see how well they're selling. Don't just rely on the website updates. If it looks like no general sale, get yourself on the waiting list as soon as it opens or try asking a 'close friend' for a customer number.

Really looking forward to this one, coach is sorted, leave early, into Blackpool for a few and then to the game, let's hope there's something to sing about on the way home!!

No mate, I think you get upto around 2,500, QPR for instance have got 908 tickets for Hull and still haven’t sold those.

Yeah think it's about 2500 to 3000 usually. Not a bad away day if the performance is there as there's plenty of boozers nearby to have a slurp in.

Most of the Hull idiots weirdly seem to still drink in the pubs up near Boothferry Park.

.....and they’ve got a lot of idiots who love to have a pop at the Blades if the opportunity arises, as witnessed over the last couple of decades.
