I was listening to a bloke on Radio Sheffield really have a go at Henderson today and it really irritated me so I was very pleased to see him play well today. Lead the line very well from the front and worked his arse off.

Great work Relish!

I was more impressed with the new guy, Davies. And when Ward went off..... boy did we miss him. I hope he's okay.

Strange how we see things differently. I thought Davies was all over the place, particularly in the first half, although I don't think he can be blamed having only arrived a couple of hours before kick off.

True, he didn't have much time to "fit in". But I think he'll be a positive.

I can't agree
I thought he had his worst game for us.
He threw his weight around and the ref was constantly on to him in the 1st half and even called Morgan over to listen to telling off. After he booked him he never won another header. Half the time he never bothered challenging in the 2nd half and when he got the ball into feet a few times he looked lost as if he had'nt a clue what to do with it. Should have been subbed at half time but who do we replace him with????

Ref was far too finicky today against us but letting a lot go when they fouled.
They crocked Walker in the 2nd half, Ward in the 1st half and with Henderson not trying its not suprising that they controlled the 2nd half.

You don't know what you're talking about. Man of thre match

Relish was excellent tonight, did everything he is there to do. Hold the ball up, lay t off, annoy defenders, take players on, turn defenders and make space for our other forwards.
Well done Relish :)

Henderson was his usual self, absolutely crap, a true waste of space and he finally plumbed the depths to being as bad as Nick Montgomery. Well done to the Blades for playing matches with 9 men, because these two retards add nothing to a true football side. They're chimps, they should be lead to the training field and shot but no.............wait a minute........some of you boys like to see our players run around a lot (or stand around a lot in Hendersons case) and look as though they're doing a bit when in reality they do nothing.

Pigs caved us in tonight, and lost which is absolutely fabulous as they truly are the scum of the earth and a win against them is worth any prize imaginable but please chaps, please let's not forgive that performance because it really did show up just how shite we are.

Get rid of Henderson, get rid of Montgomery, get rid of Blackwell, this really isn't good enough.....oh and if you're going to take a swing about how great Blackwell is well yes, he got us to the play offs but he shat himself and lost the final, I want a winning manager, simple as.....oh and don't even get me started on that spineless shit pants Cotterill........

:gallop:

Well done redeemed himself with the goal but still gave fouls away left right and center.

True he had has "card marked" with the ref.

Mmm this is becoming a common thing with the refs regardless which one.

I really hope that is just pure sarcasm.
Because if it isn't you really didn't watch tonights match at all.

Take some nitol Mart and come back in the morning. FFS we beat the pigs 3-2.....enjoy it and analyse it in the morning with a clear head.

What about Monty on the wing in the first 5 minutes providing the challenge and cross which Davies had Grant tipping over plus numerous challenges and break up play in midfield?

You don't mention Harper....where was he tonight?

As I said....enjoy it:D

Second division footballers in not-cream-of-crop shocker.:fishbowl:

let me guess, you're either a girl or you never really kicked a football in anger because if you seriously thought that Henderson did anything positive, apart from his deflected goal well crack on, have a great night because he truly was a bag of wank.

Go on, let Big Mart Petulengro the great gypsy sight see'er have a guess..........it's his piercing blue eyes you like, isn't it ;)

:gallop:

Im with you on Hendo apart from the deflected goal he did little else.

Hendo will be one of those strikers who was never that good for us but because he scored against the pigs he wont be classed as a a total waste of space.

Henderson - excellent

Davies - worst debut I can remember

I was never expecting anything special from Davies since he has been with us for litrally half a day if that.

For me, Davies did fine. Add him to the list of debutants in a derby that have done a job alongside Collins and Bullock

My major problem was not how he fit in, but the fact that for a bloke of 6 foot 3 inches, he lost an awful lot of headers against a striker who was around half a foot shorter!

Absolutely, 100%, Totally DISAGREE with you Houso. We must've been watching COMPLETELY different games.

I will agree there he lost a fair few headers and surprisingly so did Morgan at times.

Was Tudgay on springs or summit.

Davies had a dodgy first half hour but settled down ok. I think Tudgay outjumped him by about 2 feet early on.

Henderson gave a free kick away every time he farted near the ball and got another soft booking. He got thrown to the floor in the first half. Result? play on.

Alan Wiley - and I've lived through Clive Thomas, Pat (Bastard) Partridge and David Ellray - gave THE most one-eyed display I have ever had the misfortune to witness.:fishy::fishy::fishy::popo::gallop:

Well i`d side with Big Mart, not that i`m too bothered tonight, because we won & so the filth can squeal off back to their sespits where they belong.

But hendo annoys the bollocks off me, too many stupid free kicks, he`s always grabbing his defender, always has his arms up, whether he is culpable or not, he puts himself in positions where he looks the offender. & monty, well blocking Gaytud would`ve been handy for their first goal & the tackle of Ched first half was startling & he celebrated by thumping the ball somewhere in the vicinity of St Mary`s.

But i don`t give a shit. Pigs downed, that`s all that really mattered today, we still look very crap at times & that`ll continue under Blackie, but today it`s get stuffed wednesday day.

Wiley was truly intent on being the star of the show tonight.

Henderson was superb - he is like Monty in that you don't notice his other contributions until he's missing - remember the derby at t'Lane last season?

Monty was superb again tonight as usual. Speed has worked miracles on him. Yes, he'll never be the greatest footballer but I'm surely not the only one to notice that he is doing the simple things more often now. He passes to someone close and lets them do the creating. Break up the opponents and give the ball to better footballers. That's Monty's job and he is superb at it.

Davies - wobbly early but he won some headers in the last half hour. Him and Morgan were rock solid late on. Lots of potential. And we have also signed Fortune according to Blackwell on Radio Sheffield.

You can argue with some of the quality of these lads, the tactics of the manager but two things are indisputable: they give their all for SUFC and we beat the Pigs 3-2!

bag o' shite as always.
£2 million for him and 300k for jamie ward. No justice!

I'll throw in on the Hendo superb this evening.

Held things up will, battled for the ball. He's a niggly player, but he won his battle today 100%. He actually won his battle with the ref as well for me even though he did get a booking.

After that 'word' with the ref, he played a clever game of NOT challenging which for me brought two goals. The first was not a lucky deflection. Whilst you wouldn't claim he placed it, he knew the importance of getting a touch on the ball. That was a shot, not a deflection.

He also got us the third goal by his NON challenge. That Wed defender was expecting to be man-handled and to get the free kick. In the end, what he felt was only the slightest touch on his left cheek as Hendo lined up his head to knock the ball home. Well maybe slightly exaggerating there, but it's that slightest of cheeky challenges that left Buxton completely bewildered by what just happened.

Great work Hendo.
