How embarrassing, I just forgot the Irish Zidane didn't I?All our old 'reliable players' from the past few years showed up today.
Fleck, bash, Norwood, Egan, Baldock and even Enda!
But yeah, congrats to Hecky too.
He's clearly not let the players give up at least.
That was the first thought I had, they knew who the new manager is & would be watching so left it all out there. To me though that was the kind of performance where the players know the new gaffer is watching.
That says everything. We have made subs to bring that clown on! When he is no where near the pitch we seem snappier, hungry and actually proud to wear the shirt. And yes, I am not a lunny fan.Credit to him no unnecessary substitutions and no Lundstram
Yep, best game he has had in, well ever. Well played didzy..We saw tonight what has been missing all season, a system change, something bold and new.
Didsy in a free role was the reason we played so well and we actually used possesion of the football well for once, he was outstanding and showed us all tonight what his role will be next season.
Yep, credit to PH for today but it took him long enough to see and try this formation. You were calling for it months ago. Think it helps having a strong tall pacey player to be the central forward.3-4-3 has given us more solidity, and improved our pressing.
3-5-2 has turned into 5-3-2 for us this season. The two strikers have been unable to stop anything and with five players in defence, the three midfielders have had a tough job. Such a shame that Wilder refused to try something different earlier in the season.
In today's 3-4-3 the front three were all doing their bit to prevent Everton getting their passing moves started. Osborn and McGoldrick made it a midfield four at times and this enabled the defence to be more aggressive. In general we looked really up for it and our structure was good. We kept good distances between players and departments and this meant we were in good positions to make interceptions, blocks and last ditch tackles when it was needed.
Getting our defensive organisation right is vital to us. Get that right and we may see attacking benefits, like last season.
No need for subs all 11 doing there job is that a first this season?Weird we didnt even make any subs! Well played lads.
Only at S24su, lunny didn't even play and still gets stick.Credit to him no unnecessary substitutions and no Lundstram
I know but it's rare. Don't forget Robinson and Jebbison haven't had much game time.No need for subs all 11 doing there job is that a first this season?
Agreed, totally unfair.Only at S24su, lunny didn't even play and still gets stick.
There ain't much game time left but yes! Jebbo' is only a kid and Robinson as you say not been fit for months.I know but it's rare. Don't forget Robinson and Jebbison haven't had much game time.
...but appeared almost naked later on ! AaaghhOnly at S24su, lunny didn't even play and still gets stick.
