Weird piece by Andy Dunn in The Mirror

I wonder if he had a totally different article lined up about Wilder being "too harsh" with him but then after yesterday realised he'd look a complete fool so changed it at the last minute.....to look like a complete fool.
I was thinking something along those lines. Like he was anticipating us losing. Giving it all the ‘Fergie would never have done that’ and instead Hendo responds exactly how Wilder expected him to.

Exactly, a few of the gutter press were stamping their feet in anguish last night after they had to change their articles at the last minute damming CW for Hendo's loss of confidence. Is that the best he can come up with making a glib reference to teams loaning other teams players. Dinosaur management rules :D

C minus. Must do better young Andrew. 🙄

What I love about the championship in recent years, is the growing availability of well-informed and articulate punditry surrounding it. From podcasts like NTT20, to EFL Quest (Colin Murray) and other reliable sources, I really enjoyed reading about it.

On the flip side, I never realised how shocking the punditry was the the 'other 14' in the premier league. Where everyone has an opinion without any facts or reason, and yet have a bigger platform to spout their nonsense.

On a related note, does anyone know any fans of the 'big 6' that have all of a sudden started sharing their opinions with you on Blades? I get a lot now, with statements such as "That keeper of yours is rubbish isn't he" based on that moment last week. I loved getting to the prem, but there's a lot about being here that really does piss me off

henderson played well yesterday so Wilder obviously knows how to motivate him
that’s why Wilder is a prem manager and you are a hack for a widely derided form of an outdated media platform Andy

Just a stupid, stupid thing to write. Presumably every team that's taken anyone ( tier 2 or 3 standard )n on loan from the big boys deserves no sympathy because they can't get players of their own. Good job Andy is writing for a Tier One newspaper.

What is he on about exactly? The four eyed bastard. Looks like the type to take up skirt photos of girls on public transport as well. Weirdo.
Excuse me but I wear glasses and that seems a very glassist comment 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Agree it’s a weird piece....it’s as though it’s written by a Man Utd fan....who’s taken the criticism of their goalie personally.

He’s correct that loan systems are mainly used by 2nd and 3rd tier clubs, but we were in the 2nd tier last season when Henderson was our regular keeper.
He’s never going to play for Man Utd this season and they prefer him to gain experience in the PL this season..
..so it’s logical and beneficial to both SU and MU that he comes to us again this season.

Also the reporters logic seems to be that loanee players have no loyalty to their new club and probably don’t try as hard.
He’s criticising all managers that use loanees insinuating that loanees give out weaker/ poorer performances.

Agree...it’s really poorly written piece of journalism lacking logic.

Henderson made 2 great saves yesterday.....wonder how many reporters will mention that last week Wilder criticises Henderson for his blunder.
Then the next match Henderson plays great......seems like an example of great msn management to me.

I honestly don't think he knows he was with us last season. The whole piece is totally without logic. Wilder didn't say anything about Henderson's commitment or loyalty so I'm really not sure what his point is.

I wonder whether Andy is getting slightly confused over the difference between a player who makes a mistake (which Deano did and will make plenty more) and a player who isn't trying or committed (I doubt anybody could accuse Deano of that, in fact, it's hard to remember a player who has been so wholehearted in his attitude to us as a loan player). What Wilder was saying was that Deano has said he wants to play at the very highest level and should expect no sympathy if he falls below that sort of standard in his efforts.

Andy also ignores the fact that before his time with us, Deano had been on loan at Stockport, Grimsby and Shrewsbury, none of whom had him in the national spotlight. It's fair to say that our relationship with him is hugely mutually beneficial and a few harsh words from Wilder are of little consequence to either party. We also don't know what Wilder said in private.

That's nice Andy. Well done. Did you write all the words yourself or did you have someone help you?

Anyway, where's the person who looks after you? You shouldn't really wander off from them, you know. We've discussed this before.

Andy Dunn is a liverpool fan and like all Liverpool fans is very knowledgeable about his own club
And that's where the football knowledge ends

Another reporter who knows nowt about football. Henderson made some great saves at Watford. great motivation from Chris as usual.
Bbc calling it a poor game. the Blades were good. Watford was shit...
