I know... wasn’t classing him as one. More pointing out we had 2 international loans last year.

Thankfully.Seems no one is talking about Deeney coming to us other than on this forum
Our Striker Dept is threadbare and CW knows it - he said so at the end of last season.
Since then we let Leon & Zivkovic depart and Calum looks like staying with WBA permanently.
We are down to 4 strikers and all have issues which don't need rehearsing here - McB is the brightest prospect.
I don't really know what Burke is , but he's not a striker.
So I'm not counting him - I like the way he runs at defences but he doesn't get goals.
People are talking in terms of 1 more striker but imho we need 2.
Our difficulty is that strikers with scoring credentials cost high fees and command high wages.
And we are the paupers of the PL , especially in our wage structure.
We can't now loan a PL striker coz we've used our allowance on Ampadu & (apparently) Burke.
We could loan one from abroad though.
All the strikers in the 15-20m bracket which have been mentioned on here will want bigger wages than we normally pay - Brewster , King , Deeney , Grant , Batshyuai , Dennis etc.
I'm convinced we will buy a striker in that bracket but we may have to break our wage structure for him.
It might not happen till the end of the window , when selling clubs become more flexible on price.
If we can't afford 2 x 20m transfer fees , we may well take a loan from abroad such as Dajaku for the 2nd.
The 3 lads who came in on Monday are excellent recruits and Burke is just a gamble - I'm fine with those 4.
But relying for goals on the 4 who currently constitute our Striker Dept is too much of a risk.
I think we definitely need one more striker, I can’t see two unless Wilder is thinking McGoldrick and Sharp are going to feature a lot less due to age.
Zivkovic hardly played and probably only played due to lockdown, while Clarke barely featured in the league. I can’t see Wilder worrying too much about replacing either.
1 more plus Burke and I think that’s it.
