Wilder should look elsewhere, Villa and Middlesborough , are fucking us about yes he’s available, no he’s not available, leaving the deadline all the closer and closer.
This would please both of them if we didn’t get another striker.
Chris should tell them it’s now or never , we can’t be dependent on the whim of these clubs.

Wilder said it was going to go to the wire weeks ago - there would be less daily panic if people had listened to him then.

Ultimately they are players of villa and boro. We either throw enough money around to make it happen now or wait until they have replacements in before the end of the window.

Admittedly there is a risk there but Imo they have every right to protect their club and not leave themselves short if they don’t get a replacement in. They don’t have to sell them or loan them.

Quite why clubs want to leave the negoations to the deadline is another issue entirely.

Have you written to the club? This is information Chris Wilder needs to know.

One would suspect all the contracts are all ready sorted including others to simplify things wilders no mug must admit though on the surface seems like game of russian roulette cant be the case. Expect johnson go through before friday tbh way wilder quoted him in length post match saturday

we must be if they are saying we can only have them when they get someone in

I'd get Onoura in on a one-year' pay when you play' deal from Gillingham.

Nothing will happen. The sooner you accept that the better your week will be.

He should tell them that unless they loan them to us by friday we're not interested...

...Until January. That'll show em

We're not in a position to issue ultimatums.

So we either sit tight or we look elsewhere, the latter i imagine has, is and will be getting done. Whether it means we get someone in is anyone's guess but from our experience in the past (and the fly on the wall last year with Wilder) these things are constantly moving and there are always surprises

How do you know they they are our only targets? We could be trying to sign anyone.

It might be in the minds of Villa and Boro to mess us about as Championship rivals so we end up signing no one, assuming they`re the only two players we are hanging our hopes on. Hopefully CW will pull a rabbit out of the hat and pleasantly surprise us all.

I think CW has a plan B and maybe even a plan C

What I don't understand is that Hogan is apparently injured and has been for some time. On that basis, he has to recover from injury, get fit, and with no pre-season then play some games before being ready for the first team. So, what are we looking at before a debut? Weeks? Months?

Liverpool must be wanting to send Solanke out for gametime.
Chelsea must be wanting to send out Abraham, it's ok him saying he wants to fight for a place, I'm sure De Bruyne did at one point too and he's a slightly better player.
Gallagher at Southampton is a given now they have Ings.
Arsenal have the lad NKetiah who looks useful.

plenty out there and I'm sure we're in contact for a few.

I read a Spot the Dog book to my grandson about looking elsewhere for something, cracking ending. Can't say it's a reyt spoiler alert.

I can tell you're a sucker for a good thriller novel!

I'm dying to know what Spot was looking for? Was it a bone? (Dog's used to eat bones in them days I remember - and they use to do white dog shit as well).

And did Spot find it eventually - if so where? (in the first place he should have looked no doubt).

By the way, if I were you I'd PM me the answers to these questions as we don't want to spoil it for the rest of the folks on here with a similar reading age.;)

Hogan won’t be back until after the international break at the earliest so I think this signing is highly unlikely in this window anyway as it would be pretty pointless now, spending money for the sake of it.

I don't think it's that mate. I know it's frustrating, But I actually don't think they are stringing anyone along. They are just waiting themselves for things to happen elsewhere before they make the move. That's fair enough. It's a bit like if we sold our best player without having a replacement guaranteed - that'd be plain daft wouldn't it. ;)

You also have to factor in players agents who will be playing a game of brinkmanship with the clubs (both loaners and borrowers) for the best deals/futures for their clients. Both clubs may be agreed but the player/agent may want to hang on for something better (obviously nothing could be better than coming to the Blades ;)). UTB

If they don’t want to come fuck them off

They may want to come but they may get an offer from a better paying club at the last minute for example, so would you want to slit your throat to spite your stomach? UTB

An absurd and hopeless suggestion might be for everyone to calm down and see what the rest of the week brings?

We ❤️ Jim White Day.

That there book learning you've got aint gonna do you no no good on here, no siree.

Do we not all remember the documentary last year. Shows how much clubs get pissed about by agents.

Hogan will have been at Sheffield train station since last week
