We have a problem with Cooper

We scored 4 past them not long ago, why do we need to score 5 for it to be special lol 😂

I think most of the above comments tonight are from people that watched it at home. If you would have been at the match you’d have been able to witness the velocity of the shot easier. It was like a rocket.

I’m not defending him though, he needs to improve. When was the last time we had a goalkeeper that commanded his area and was decisive.
I agree, those defenders in front of him should have done better, sticking a leg out is not enough, get your body in the way. Plus once it came through the defence Cooper had little time to react. He was left exposed for the second and carries no blame.

Their defenders were just better at defending compared to ours. The number of blocks that they got in, even our goal took a deflection that could so easily have been deflected wide.
Got into arguement on here previously about Cooper and i'll repeat what i said, he's not better than Henderson or Pickford , he won't play for England, Everton won't pay £10m for him, he's not the best in the division and Wilder should have bought another keeper in. All over the pitch he argues about having competition for places but he hasn't done that with the keeper. He obviously doesn't rate Davies otherwise he would play him instead of Cooper.

I think that Coops definitely has a problem; if you look at his reputation over a long period with Plymouth, & his form in the first season with us, he is clearly struggling now in comparison. Whether that problem is physical or mental only the club knows.
The drop off is stark, he was imperious last season so it stands out a mile. As a former 'keeper I have been looking at his stance, & he seems to struggle low down near his feet (which lots of 'keepers also suffer with), & going high into the top corners of the goal, & I believe it is his knee or knee's that are the issue. He doesn't seem to have the same spring or be able to twist mid movement like he could.

I hope it can be sorted, at his best he is a hell of a 'keeper.

And another goal cost because he can’t get down. Must be replaced in the summer.
To be fair I think we are going to find we are more concerned about who the back up is, Adam Davies hopefully will finally go when his contract ends, Grbić has 1 year left and Faxon is the other, we need a strong backup so allow Faxon out on loan for some minutes

If Cooper can't recover his form, sadly, he might be in danger of becoming our new no2.

Obviously a lack of spending power might be a reprieve for him - but he couldn't be shocked if he ends up on the bench.

Yeah, I guess that is an option too, not sure who, although Nick Pope be a pipe dream on a free, Freddie Woodman from Liverpool is also potential for a free too.

Cooper has been distinctly average this season compared to last season when he was pretty solid. No improvement at all on his kicking and no improvement on his command of the box where he is very weak, constantly flapping at crosses and corners. At his age he should be at the top of his game, I think mid-table Championship is about as far as he will go career wise, we need better. He would make a good #2 if we go any higher.

He just didn't get down low towards the shot quick enough. He is a stable GK in this division and one of the best keepers in the league

There's a big difference between Cooper and Rushworth. Rushworth got to the ball whenever it came near him. Your goal came from a big deflection where he was in a position to save and normally catch the ball.

Cooper? Should have done better for the 1st goal and should have been challenging Rudoni for the second.

It went under his body
