and not back Wilder in the January transfer window, or I fear a Premier League team will tempt him away. Last night was an absolutely fantastic performance with only the final ball missing. I hope us fans appreciate what we are seeing now, as we probably won't see it again in our lifetime. The fact he's doing it with no money is nothing short of a miracle. Kevin McCabe and the Prince, it's up to you now. Do not fuck this opportunity up. Back him or be prepared to lose him because trust me, other teams will be taking notice now.

They don't even talk to each other. They are in court. One of them has said we've spent all the money we need. Neither will invest unless the other does.

I just don't see anything other than a couple of loans. Unless we sell

Unfortunately I think you are absolutely spot on.

I have just said on another thread that neither of them is going to gamble significant money on the decision of a judge.

Whoever loses the ownership battle will get the square root of FA back, whichever league we are playing in.

If they both put in the same money and CW gets to spend the amount of one of them i.e. they both put in £10mil CW can spend £10mil the one that loses ownership can walk away with the other £10mil. That way we have the best chance of going up and the owner that walks away loses nothing from the January investment.

Except that they are not talking to each other and even worse they don't trust each other one little bit so are highly unlikely to agree any compromise situation, added to which one of them said in the summer that he doesn't think we need to spend any money on team strengthening

It's quite easy to sort.
Both co-owners LOAN the club the same amount to be used as a transfer budget.
If, in September, one feels he has to walk away, that one gets his loan returned.

Don’t think we need much in January, definitely a tricky forward to run directly at defenders
Defenders don’t like it up em you know.
There’s a young lad at Bournmouth but sadly we coud’nt afford him.

The Prince refused to enter into a loan arrangement in the summer, why would he do it now with no guarantee of success?

Wasn't HRH's refusal to 'loan' because he wanted McCabe to make a gift (matching HRH's) whilst he was expecting to end up owning the club?
McCabe would then have lost his stake money.
The situation is different now, but if it's one or the other, at least the 'loser' will get something back and hopefully the team will get an improved transfer kitty.

Yep, that was the situation.

What do you think has changed bearing in mind that the papers submitted to the court indicated that Prince didn't think we needed any investment in the team last summer?

I come back to the fact that the 2 combatants are not talking and wouldn't trust each other to hold a door open.

Investing (or gambling) more money in SUFC is nowhere near the top of the priority list for either party.

Until they sort their differences out, then we are screwed.

That's just the way it is.

He was backed in the summer, he'll be backed in January.

Its a myth that the owners haven't backed the manager. Wilder hasn't complained that he's not been backed. His comments have related to the budget we have. Something which is very different to being backed.

Afraid the Brooks money might be picking up the wage bill?

McCabe MIGHT back him. The Price, not a chance!
If we do make the Prem then his buying price soars.

This will be shocking news to many, but Not all money from player sales will be put back into the kitty for player purchases...

Some money will be reinvested for other uses... like wages

Point was I'm not so sure about Wilder being backed come January as you are.

We're apparently taken out a loan at high interest against the future Brooks installments which is hardly a sign of decent money being available now nor in the JTW. What kind of owner would put money in now while not trusting the other, loan or any strings, when they can lose the lot when the judge decides.

It will be peanuts in the JTW unless we sell and Wilder is obliged to say what he says and the words being used about the budget could mean anything. One person's decent budget is another person's peanuts.

Let me guess, BRP didn't turn up last night which is hardly a sign of imminent support and the stunts over the past year or two suggest the interest is not footballing but speculation.

Maybe given recent current events in the news, if the Prince invited Kev to a “clear the air meeting” at his offices, I don’t think I’d be turning up!

personally I would put too much into the loan, Clubs do it all the time so they have cash upfront for other transfer fees, wages etc. We even did it in lieu of getting the Tevez money

Unless something's changed, then the budget was there for a striker in the summer, so my only assumption is that it will still be there

He didn't have enough points for a ticket, this is why McCabe put on a 500 point requirement for purchasing

Though I see that fucker McCabe managed to get himself announced on the PA and on the Pitch

Probably cost Princey a boot in the TV Screen ..... :)
