We ARE the best side in this division.

A long long way to yet and we are looking good. Todays results show once again how crazy this league is....hang in there!

I would say we are one of the best to watch, based on what I have seen so far. Leeds and Derby are up there with us, Norwich can't be discounted either as they play nice stuff.

I look at the rest, Boro, Forest, Brum, Villa etc... all just efficient teams that aren't too easy on the eye.

Plenty of pundits reckon so.

Plenty of oppos managers as well.

So do I.

If only we could have converted our utter dominance of sides in to a few more points we could be clear and comfy at the top.

But we are on the right path.

In Tufty (and Knill) I trust :)

I’ve enjoyed the journey so far. Chris and his team have worked wonders since the came. If he’s given the tools he wants he will take us all the way.

A really good side would create more chances from control of possession.
We're a good side and competitive in this league but nothing more at the moment.

i think he meant footballing wise tbf to the lad ;)

Well quite, and based on Villa, Bolton etc he has a point . But two counterpoints to that. Firstly, for every Villa there's a Boro. Or Swansea. Or Forest. For every first half at Pride Park there's a, well, second half at Pride Park.

And sexondly there's a persuasive argument to be made that the best football is the type that earns the most points . Plaudits for being 'the team that knocks it about the best but doesn't score enough' aren't going to cut it.

for you maybe but me? i’m loving it:)

We're the former Arsenal of the Championship.

Great to watch, play the best football, but don't convert the dominance into enough wins.

Difference is Wenger was too stubborn to resolve their defensive problem, whereas given half a chance I'm sure Wilder will try to solve our final third issue.

We're not, but we're close, and could be with a bit of investment.

There's probably a few sides who could say the same to be fair.

So we’re 4th after today’s results and failed to break down the piggies last night!!.
I think we’re still in a good position which yes i know could be better if we had converted our chances!!. There does seem to be some doom and gloom amongst some!!.
We do need to strengthen in January and that is the biggest challenge but hopefully the board will provide funds?.
Onwards and upwards for the mighty blades.

Teams like us and Brentford are great to watch and easy on the eye. However we did not create a single clear chance in the box from open play last night. Same previous game. That's 180 minutes and not one clear chance in open play.

We are a joy to watch but in a fair few games actually never look like scoring despite all the great play. Derby away we were tremendous outside the box but other than Bash scoring we did not create much.

To get on the top 6 we have to address this. Whether by getting some pace so we can break quicker...get it forward quicker and then let our football take over....or by crossing the ball more rather than taking the extra pass as lovely as it looks.

What's Kevin Blackwell doing at the moment?

No we're not.

Look at the league table.
That would mean that we were the best team in the division last Saturday morning then Nuddy. I’m not so sure that it counts for anything at this stage mate. There’s been around half a dozen teams at the top on the last few weeks, Boro were top an hour ago and right now it’s Norwich but Leeds could be top later on. Who’s the best team out of that lot I wonder? West Brom are all over Leeds right now.

The best team in the division will be top in May. We can discuss who’s the most entertaining or most boring etc. as an aside, but at the end of the day unless a team runs away with it like Wolves did the question is a long way from being answered.

Can we have an updated X G chart on here sometime soon por favor !

Michael Brown said on TV last night that United are better than teams in the Premiership although ne didn't say which ones.

To convert that amount of posession we need a quality striker (or two). If we had spent the Brooks money in the summer we would be 6 points better off by now.

His football never got us promoted. Let's not create straw men just because I think there are better teams on the division.
But he got us to the play-offs with his football that was designed to 'win points'
Only trouble was, nobody really enjoyed watching it, despite being happy accumulating the points
