Great comment that made me chuckle a few weeks ago on Twitter.
We are running out of games to fuck this up !
And today's results really don't hurt us

Surely now after so many disappointments genuine good times may well lie ahead.

Decent, honest footballers.
Some certainly good enough for next season
(Remember we only need to finish above the 2 that go up and Barnsley or Burton !)
Blade as manager
Blade as captain
Plenty of depth
A seemingly excellent crop of youngsters in most positions
Thousands and thousands of loyal supporters
Attacking proper football

And like I say the most important thing is running out of time to screw up

I fuckin love this football team

I think you're getting a bit ahead of yourself regarding next season ;)

But this season...everyone else is slowly but surely running out of games to catch us. Everyone plays on tuesday...another win is another game less for them. One game at a time, but we're getting there.

UTFB and FTDFP.

your way a head of yourself. We are going to need to strengthen quite a bit to be competitive in the championship. Moore, Fleck , coutts, maybe Duffy , Sharp and Samir. Possibly Oconnell, that's it I think that might be able to hold there own. Pace will be an issue if we go up. And defenders.

If we play a back Three then Wright could do a job.

most of the team then :)

don't want to be mr misery , just how I see it. lets just enjoy this season!

I don't think we've got a particularly strong squad of players for league one but the manager has them top of the league

As long as wilder is here we will be ok

Our midfield and forward line are ridiculously strong for this level. Give me a side in League One that Coutts, Fleck, Duffy, Sharp, probably Lavery and Hanson as well don't walk into.

still 30 points to play for

Bolton can be 6 points behind with a game in hand by Tuesday night.

Not having any of this, we are up shit till we are up
True , but we could also be 12 points clear of Bolton .
Let's take one game at a time but no negative waves please.

lower league misfits wilder has moulded into a winning side

Absolutely. It's the Bladey Inferiority Compex, alive and well.

This team, without any additions, would finish bottom half but not in the relegation zone. That's irrelevant though, because there will be substantial recruitment.

It's not negativity it's realism. We can still mess this up and lose our automatic spot.

Party plans on hold for me.

Realism says it is technically true - Negatively means anyone who believes it doesn't know a football team when they see one.

Scunthorpe have collapsed in the last 9 games. They were scrapping for top spot with us, confidence is a powerful force in football. It doesn't matter what people put on here but why count your chickens in a game that always throws up surprises and twists and turns

I agree that it is a shame that we are running out of games, because it is a great time to be a Blade.

We are red hot favourites for promotion and clear favourites for the title.
We are playing entertaining football with great belief and confidence.
Yes, we are not over the line yet but have a big enough lead to look around and enjoy the view.
COYRAWW !!!

A drop or lack of confidence and you become on the wrong side of fine margins .

Next stop Swindon .

I think the manner of Scunthorpe's defeat yesterday was a little strange. Players must be closet Blades. Trouble at mill over there. Never been a conspiracy theorist but.....

We have a far better team than Scunthorpe or indeed any team in this league. Even the awesome, non-stop, relentless juggernaut that is Fleetwood came unstuck yesterday, as anyone who has watched football for a while knew they would.

It's certainly getting more difficult NOT to believe we'll finally do it.

I think we'll need 2 or 3 good signings for next season. Barnsley have proved it's possible to thrive without spending a fortune, but on the other hand, I've been surprised that Wigan have struggled because I thought they had a strong squad when they went up.

The other thing is being able to maintain it once you've stayed up, Charlton managed a couple of seasons and now Wolves are struggling.

I've said on another thread, for me the key will be how Wilder has us playing as we'll likely spend more time without the ball.
