This "take risks and fail fast" approach will screw us. It's a thing I have experienced directly first hand working for Americans who said exactly that ,20 odd years ago. it leads to chaos and dysfunction.

In my experience of working in the US they seem to be a nation content to tolerate mediocrity in the workplace, I’ve certainly not seen the ‘hire and fire’ culture that people seem to believe is prevalent.

Everyone is too scared of getting sued to fire people for being shite at their job.

I used to worry about job security, then realised nobody gets fired on my company, and boy have we got some useless twats (and that's just me!)

That's weird coz working in the UK, for an American company, I got used to seeing people get fired on almost a weekly basis. But regardless I do now think we are up shit street with this lot at the helm, would love to be wrong.

Maybe they're more cautious on their own patch than over here.
