To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Sgeffield Wednesday. The style of play is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the tactics will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Pulis's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these tactics, to realise that they're not just good- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Wednesday truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Tony s existential catchphrase "What the fuck are you doing?" which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Tony Pulis's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them.

And yes, by the way, i DO have a Sheffield Wednesdsy tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid.

I’m not particularly surprised to see this from a Southampton player. In a league full of reprehensible teams, that lot are arguably the biggest shithousers.

The way they carried on at the Lane last season, with their diving and gamesmanship, made that particular defeat one of the more annoying ones of the season.

It points to a certain culture at the club which clearly starts with the turd of a manager at the top.

I just wish that our lads would rediscover the backbone to defy all of the cowards that are lining up to kick us on our way out of their cosy Premier League club.

It would be lovely to have a raucous Lane full of baying fans behind his net when this silly little boy visits later in the season. We have long memories in S2...
