Yes, I'm fine. Apologies, I suppose I wasn't just replying to you, more generally to those who are clamouring to have him back come what may?????? I'm not sure of your point. I was just answering the question from my perspective. Are you ok?
Please Chrissy come back just so that this post becomes reality.Genuinely, if Wilder came back, I give up
I think that’s largely expected for a newly promoted clubs these days tbfFarke available soon after loosing 5.0 to Arsenal.
90 points after 16 the previous season ..fucked it up...reallyI think he's already had that and fucked it up fairly recently
Every thread. Rent free.Wilder has more pay outs than the lottery
Possibly Wilder. Definitely numerous lower league or foreign managers. But forget about Cooper, Dyche or any other outstanding manager who's currently out of work. They will take one look at the situation here and think 'I don't fancy that'.Selles might not be the answer.
I don’t think Wilder is either unfortunately.
It’s a big world out there, other managers are available.
The question is, who would walk into this shitshow?
YupI predicted this shit show at the time the huge mistake was made to bring Wilder back - the posts are still there for anyone who cares to look them up. Once the “identity” of the club becomes completely focused on one person and a cult develops around them a club is in serious trouble once that person inevitably move on. I always feared for whoever the initial replacement was and said quite recently that they would likely only be here for a short period of time because they were on a hiding to nothing.
We’ve seen it before with Man Utd post Ferguson and Arsenal post Wenger. Once an individual has been allowed to develop that much power within the club the transition from them is always going to bring with it loads of pain. It’s an unhealthy situation.
Bringing Wilder back would be the worst possible thing that could happen for the long term health of this club as it would simply result in the same again the next time he inevitably departs. Selles appears to have been the wrong choice, but I never expected the first post Wilder manager to last very long anyway. What matters now is the future. As a club we are in a period of transition. That’s fine, all clubs go through them, and the club desperately needed modernising in all respects. It is to be hoped the owners have learned some lessons when it comes to the next managerial appointment (and a DoF is definitely needed) but, even more, the fans need to accept that we are now in the post Wilder era, accept that transitions such as we are going through come with short term pain and get firmly behind whoever comes next.
I think it’s normally a 6-12 month golden handcuff type dealI seriously doubt Wilder has been paid off. It mainly works in football these days that they’re paid till they find another job. Garden leave if you like.
So we’re paying for two managers. Wilder and Selles. Which one should be on garden leave?
We’re paying him anyway. Get him back. The wrong one is on garden leave.

Probably the ones stipulated in his contracts. Same as all managers. What’s your point? What pay outs has Selles had from Southampton Reading and Hull ?

Ah, ok. I’m not sure anyone would have mentioned his pay offs if there hadn’t been two of them so close together, but otherwise a fair point, if he was contractually entitled there’s nothing to moan about.People who infer that somehow Chris Wilder shouldn't have any contract terminated pay outs.
Has anyone ever asked how much Slavisa Jokanovic's pay out was?
Yet the Wilder detractors always trot out the 'he trousered x' line.

What about his capitulation in the playoff final? We'll have to deduct the lost millions won't we, if we're playing that game?Absolutely. Fully agree. Wilder generated hundreds of millions through the initial promotion to the prem, then staying in the prem, and then the second promotion being built on the back of this first promotion, (not taking anything away from Hecky's achievement in getting us promoted).
im pretty sure we are not in the slightest way like arsenal or man utd , we dont get 60k and 78 k gates,, we dont spend a kings ransom every seasonWe’ve seen it before with Man Utd post Ferguson and Arsenal post Wenger. If my post was going to go over anyone’s head I would have put money on it being you.im pretty sure we are not in the slightest way like arsenal or man utd , we dont get 60k and 78 k gates,, we dont spend a kings ransom every season
Wilder picked out has beens and overlooked players and took them as lumps of coal and pressured them into diamondS
MY WILDEST DREAM FOR LAST SEASON WAS TO MAKE THE PLAY OFFS
To collect 92 points was phenominal,, dont think pep guardiola would have got that squad relegated from the prem with 16 points to reach so high
people still not au fait with the better the devil you know , or a wins a win mantras
theres no comparison ,, man city will find it hard once pep leavesIf my post was going to go over anyone’s head I would have put money on it being you.
