It's a bit odd at the moment, I look at our squad and feel confident, I look at the eleven starting and feel confused I watch the game and feel disappointed, probably feel the same on Wednesday, keep the faith I'm sure it will get a lot better

I have to admit i am worried about this game, and us getting a proper beating.

Robinson you just know he will have a good game and probably score or assist.

Would be a shock if we won 1-0 and Burke got the goal.
If we do suffer a bad defeat it might just sink in with the powers that be we need reinforcements this window!

Saw their highlights on Saturday and set pieces and the long throw that they utilise is a concern.

Footballing wise we can match them no problem but we definitely need to up the intensity of our play

I can see us changing shape for this. Maybe a back 3. Slav must have concerns after Birmingham about how dominant they was in the air against us. We will be bombarded all night.

---------------------------------------------------------Ramsdale---------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------Bsaham---------------------------------Egan-----------------------------------------Davies----------------

---Baldock--------------------------Norwood------------------------------Berge-----------------------------------Osborn---

---------------------------------------------------------McGoldrick-------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------Brewster------------------------------------McBurnie--------------------------------------

I don't expect much. And really, it will result in Norwood dropping deep to collect the ball off the back three and pumping it into the channels, once again. The only way this changes is if we sign Viera and he is a ball carrier and can work with Berge and McGoldrick to exploit central routes to goal to either play in McBurnie or Brewster. Don't think Bogle is an option at the moment unless on late and maybe get an appearance for RND for Osborn. But we have to not concede. Difficult with a new CB and just two days to get him bedded in but we just have to limit their chances, concentrate and fucking defend. We can't afford a goal like Brums to drift in.

0-0. I hope

I had been predicting a loss, but actually I am not so sure now.

They will be direct and press us high, but I think we have enough technical ability and pace to break that press and expose them. We really do need to start making better decisions in the final 3rd though.

I think the squads are more or less evenly matched, so this one might come down to a battle of tactics, and the managers.

Slav was one of the few managers to outthink Wilder twice in the championship (the 5-4 scoreline masked their dominance for most of the match) so we'll see.

Not confident, heart says the lads sneak a 1-0 win, head says 2-0 loss with their Robinson getting a goal.

We’re playing West Brom not Man City. No doubt be a tough game, but reckon this could actually suit us better than Swansea.

Ismail plays direct long ball football. We’ll defiantly have more of the ball, so depends whether we can do anything with it

I hope Davies is fit. I can see this lot over running us early on, Norwood and Berge will never have a second to think what they are going to do but we have to stay solid. Keeping the ball will be important, let WBA wear themselves out chasing the thing and our chances will come as they get tired later in the game. If we get to HT at 0-0 I can see us winning tomorrow night, concede early on and it is game over. After last season's showing at the Hawthorns we owe them one.

If we do suffer a bad defeat it might just sink in with the powers that be we need reinforcements this window!
Correct.
We are in a transition phase and it's painful but inevitable.
The results matter less than the performances.
The performances will inform Boris of the evolution of his squad.
He is still in the process of evaluating things. What is so intriguing for each of us fans is whether he will come to the same conclusions as we have after last season.
We all hold our own opinions on each of the players , which are fading , which are progressing + which are just not good enough.
What none of us know (coz Boris doesn't know himself yet) is what the membership of the squad will be + to what shape it will set-up.
Should he devise a shape which suits the squad he's inherited or should he change its membership to suit a shape he has planned ?
That's his big decision and he's only got till the end of this month to make it.
And then he can't necessarily bring in or send out exactly who he pleases , because his budget & the marketplace are two things beyond his own control.
Talk about pressure !

Still in transition - so a 2–0 loss for me. I don’t think we will get promoted this season as there’s too much work to do. Whilst the signings of Davies and Viera are welcomed there are doubts about match fitness. This means they may not make any sort of impact for a good few games.

In addition we need a LB another CM and a CAM - not yet in the building.

Until these are in place we are relying on the same old tired bodies and minds that are clearly suffering a massive drop in performance levels and confidence.

Add to the above SJ implementing a new system and tactics and the fact we are likely to lose at least one (possibly 2) of our first choice 11 late in the window then I think we have too much to do.

If SJ gets us promoted this season it’s a fantastic achievement.

UTB

If we play 3 at the back we'll drill these.

They absolutely robbed us last year after we totally outplayed them away.

What goes around comes around.

Come on Blades!

think if slav puts davies in we might revert to a back 3 just to ease him in fancy us to get a point

In almost dreading watching it, our games are so shit to watch and have been for a year or so. Were decent in defence so limit the opposition to a few chances but we also create sod all maybe 1 or 2 shots on goal a game if we're lucky. We must be the most boring side in all 4 divisions
