Have to agree with him but what a shock this arsehole is going to get when he realizes it Shef Utd they are playing .Thick T--t .

I think they’ll be some surprises tomorrow.

I reckon the front 3 pick themselves and the back 3 kind of do. CM is going to be interesting. Would not be surprised to see Arblaster and Norwood supporting potentially. I’d stick Ben O on to add more energy and Jebbo to play to his strengths in games where we need to stretch defenders.

TV coverage updated.

Foderingham
Baldock Anel Egan Clark Lowe
Berge Norwood Osborn
Ndiaye Brewster

I'm going to go for a 1-1 draw and a drab, poor game with very few chances on goal.

If Khadra starts instead of Osborn then I'll stick with the result but say that the game will be better.

And so it begins again!!
I am so looking forward to the new season. At the moment we have many reasons to be optimistic.
The transfer window has been very positive so far with some good additions. The defence has been strengthened with the addition of Anel and Clark although it may be at the expense of Bash getting regular games and I think we can all agree that Robinson, after a poor start developed into a player that was first name on the team sheet.
In midfield the Addition of Doyle will eventually add to what we already have and Khadra will hopefully provide the guile and excitement that we saw from MGW last season.
Berge still being with us is a huge bonus. He is back to full fitness and hopefully plays more advanced where he was most effective last season.
Hopefully Brewster can stay fit. he was just starting to show his ability when he got injured last season. Hopefully he can recapture that form from the off this season.
I am most excited about Ndiaye though. A lot of the talk has been about Berge and if we can keep him. I think this season will be the one where Ndiaye shows what he has got. having watched him towards the end of last season and into the friendlies during pre-season he looks so confident in himself and looks to have worked on his fitness. I expect him to be a huge player for us this season!!
In terms of tonight's game, we need to come out of the blocks quickly with a high tempo approach to put them on the back foot. An early goal would be amazing and may cause doubts to set in with them following last season's poor showing.
Soooooooo looking forward to watching the game but not so much looking forward to getting up at 02.30am to watch it and then go straight to work for 12 hours 😴😴.

Watford isn't a happy hunting ground for us, we don't win away from home first game, our best players are injured and we don't have a kit to play in.

2-0 defeat.

2-0 defeat. Can’t see where a goal will come from tbh, be same midfield of zero creativity Fleck and Norwood🤦‍♂️.

I tend to agree with the last 2 posters. Defeat by at least 2 goals as we start slowly again.

Tickets booked and really looking forward to this. Last time I went to Watford old ‘do I not like that’ was in charge and we lost 5-0. Still, that was then, eh?
Was that the game where Burridge made his infamous comment afterwards?

Take a point..going for 0-0.
Dreading the hissy fits/meltdown & all round expert lynch mobs itching to share their abject misery on here later.

Draw would be a great result.

Even a narrow defeat would not be the end of the world, after it’s only the first game and as we know it’s a marathon not a spring.

Only the end of the world would be the end of the world and knowing our luck it will be just as we win a playoff final when Simonsen's penalty kick crashes back to earth leading to mass extinction.

0-3 win for us tonight to set up a top of the table clash Saturday. 😀

Tell her the pub has sky and heating!

Cheaper to turn everything off for 2 hours, go and watch the match with a pint each.

Now I've said it, it probably is cheaper these days to be fair.

TV + lights + heating for 2 hours, plus 2 cans in the fridge...or 2 pints in the heated pub...both options probably about £5/6 atm.

Fucking hell it's a real shitshow isn't it
Two pints about £5.00/£6.00????? Where do you live?/Drink?

Work and lack of transport means I'm not going tonight, heading to Clubhouse to have a watch if anyone else is heading down there 🍺

Plenty places doing £3 a pint or there and thereabouts if you know where to look 😉

I've just moved back home after 10 months living in Bristol...you're lucky to get one pint for that price down there, so I'm just glad to be back!

Watford could have the relegation hangover of being beaten every week like we did .We have also had a full preseason of conditioning this summer although we are missing players due to injury similar to last season, we have a very good chance for a result. Get that first goal and they might lose confidence and start pointing fingers.

I never feel informed enough to make an accurate prediction at the start of the season, so I go for complete optimism and I'll say 1-3 to a Blades side that has hopefully built upon what we already have, whereas Watford will have to get used a to a new division and team full of new players, and will also need to shake off the mentality of getting beat every week.
