First time me saying this but I hope so if that’s the kind of performance we’re gunna get this season. Such a difference between him and Dennis, Sarr and Joao all with links to other clubs but they still put a proper shift in. He just doesn’t look arsed anymore which is sad to see but obviously wants his move.

Really below par performance where we’ve been shit and uninspiring in possession and looked poor out of it as well.

I cant help but feel that a pre-season full of lower league teams hasnt been the best planning when kicking of against an ex prem team.

So many poor performances:
RND (he was played in a new role in fairness)
Clarke
Lowe
Baldock
Norwood

Ndiaye can hold his head high. Some great positive play from him, hes worked on his strength and watford struggled with him at times.

Watford will be up there but we were absolutely dire. We need to look after the ball much better than we did. Hopefully a much needed wake up call after a shocking pre-season.

All in all poor, ok we were playing a team tipped for the top, although apart from their front 2 look average, but we didn't show any urgency or movement, the passing was woeful, ndiaye played well, jebbison looks to be coming on but not quite there yet, fleck needs replacing, hes a squad player at best

That was lacklustre against a side that looked like they still had a hangover from last season and weren't very cohesive, I don't think Watford will trouble the top six.

Piss poor selection from Heckingbottom (bonkers stupid couldn't believe he picked that team) translated into a deserved wank performance. Embarrasing goal. Questions got to be asked of Jack and Stuart for encouraging them to do that on an attacking set piece. Egan, Baldock, Stevens, Fleck, Norwood all useless.

I don't know why we were expecting different results with same problematic players (midfield) than last season.
Khedra had energy and drive to get us forward, the similar MGW brought last season and we need that. Another who has that naturally is Sharp and we need both of them to get somewhere.

I think that "Why is it, when something happens, it is always you three?" meme suits here more than fine

I’m struggling for a positive out of this…

Foderingham did well …

Hard to judge the defence given all the last minute changes - generally did well but Lowe was woeful when he came on.

Hard to judge the attack as they had no service Ndyaie did well.

But that midfield is woeful… so pedestrian and for me was the major area in need of an overhaul over the summer and it’s not been done.

Generally as a unit we lacked urgency, cohesiveness and the lack of noise from the players was alarming ! I could PH more than them.

Tactically poor and the solution was to throw more attackers on the pitch and hope for the best.

Early days … certainly not panicking but need to put in a better performance next game and pick up a win.

Positives, Wes, Ndiaye and Khadra looked good, Billy back.
Negatives, where do you start?

Same old problems as last year still persisting. Midfield is just awful with Fleck and Norwood playing together and when Berge has one of his anonymous performances.

On the plus side, should have taken a point from the promotion favourites with a ridiculous squad (and wage bill) for the Championship if it hadn't been for some embarrassing play in the the centre of the park from Fleck and Egan (could have also been offside).

I hope that Lowe was just nervous as that was one stinker of a cameo.
