Can we have one for the knockers please?
Now don't get me wrong I'm all for peeps being allowed to criticise our team.
Especially if the criticism is constructive and deserved. god knows we've had plenty to criticise in the past.
But for once lets praise United, the manager and the board.
1: For keeping Killa in the face of a number of bids, and possibly losing millions in the process.
2: For getting rid of some dead wood.
3: For the 1 year loan swap Howard/Harper.
You'de think the way we've started, [Undefeated] peeps would be happy, but some supporters if that's what you call them, get orgasmic over our mistakes and failures. Even when things are going OK they have to find some way to knock either players, the team, the manager or the board. Well you miserable lot it's time to put up or shut up. Or get binned :)

Not happy at losing Hendrie-never given a chance but obviously not in Blackwells plans so perhaps in retrospect the business had to be done- Jury out on Jordan Stewart- Howard to Reading good business- Harper sounds the real deal- Killa staying perhaps the scouts were at the Lane on saturday

Aye Killa didn't do his sen any favours by all accounts. But apparently offers from Newcastle and Middlesborough were turned down today. The offers were in the millions but we don't know how many.

Great post mad mick,

Good work by the club today. Glad to see the back of Hendrie, did nothing for 2 years and must have been on a packet.

Howard, didnt work, but to swap him for Harper is a great deal.

Only down side to today is we are a little short at centre half, and upfront, lets hope we dont get any injuries!

I was having worries ahead of today. I imagined we'd sign Stewart, nobody else and probably lose Killgallon as well as a few squad players making the squad very thin. I never imagined we'd sign Harper and get rid of Hendrie & Howard. Still very short in certain departments notably upfront.

Pat on the back for the board and Blackwell. Up to those 11 on the pitch now to deliver.

Waste bin for the clappers wud get full faster.

Good business today from the Blades.

our terry must be on his hols ! ;)

I think Blackie is looking at the loan market for cover. You are right though, if we get any injuries or suspensions it's gonna be tricky.

Yeah, i think my main worry is if we have to rush to get someone in at say centre back, we then may have to settle for someone of poorer quality.

Anyone heard anything about Fortune signing?

Heard nothing Ginge but I'd take Fortune. Reading between the lines I don't think it was Blackwell or the club which forced Bromby out, it seems we were quite happy to have Bromby on the bench all season. Surely there must be room in the wage budget for Fortune's wages. I can't imagine he'd command much different to what Bromby was on.

You make a good point, if we need a CB in ASAP - it will be some kid from the Premiership who may be good, but may be crap. Fortune has played years in this league and wouldn't let us down.

Yep, defo mate, i wanted us to sign him even when we had Bromby. Dont think we would have let Bromby go other than for Leeds, plus he got a four year deal as well so he may have asked to go.

Can't fault a four year deal for a 29 year old in the lower leagues nowadays. He's a Leeds (ish) Lad and potentially they can be a massive club. All round it makes sense for all parties AS LONG AS WE HAVE A REPLACEMENT!!! I don't think £200,000 of bank notes can take long throw ins!

Clarke?

yeah he looked ok, Fulham didnt test him to much though having watched the match.

Defo worth a loan!

Great in theory but if the lad is getting in a Premiership team if players ahead of him are injured then why would he drop down a level to warm a bench incase Morgan or Kilgallon get injured? It's like Cahill & Harley, they only came to us because they were going to start every game.

Realistically we need to sign a player who has been around this division for years, is out of contract and would be happy to join initially as a back up or some young kid from the lower leagues.
