We dominated the match and were very positive and gave a lot of effort.

Think the lack of effort was more about deflation.
We had Bury on the ropes with constant pressure on their goal and then they go up the other end and score and worldy. Massive kick in the bollox that.

Let's face it were were robbed today and you can't legislate for bad luck.
Keep played to that level and we'll finish top 2.

At least we've only got a few days to wait to get this out of our system when we play Colchester.

Trouble is, it wasn't bad luck, and on todays performance we weren't robbed either. We gave Bury every assistance we possibly could to win the game, working in collusion of course with the man in the middle. Opposition only have to ask and we will give.

Some of our lads need to just "go for it" at times. Woolford is guilty of getting the ball on the break, running ahead and then almost stopping to look for an option, just keep going, and if no one is in a supporting position, go for it, and bang one at the keeper. That was one of the things I liked about Jamie Ward, he would bomb forward, get as close as he could to goal and if not options available or he had defenders coming to close him down, he would just bang it at goal.

Good point, Phil. When a shooting opportunity opens up for some of our players, you can almost see the cogs turning. The vital split second is lost and the chance has gone. Mind, if other teams retreated and invited a long range shot, like we consistently do, it might be different...

I didn't go, but going by the result, it was all three!
Billy scored so that's a small plus for me o_O

The performance was 'OK'. Sammon and Sharp should've both scored before they went 1 up. It reminded me of a Clough type performance in that we were never under any kind of threat then bang!!

McEveley is coming under a lot of criticism and rightly so yesterday. He was awful. I feel that making McEveley captain is Adkins' only failure in his short time as manager so far. K.Wallace is a better left back, Harris and even Freeman are better left backs. It will be interesting to see what happens when Harris and Brayford are fit. Who will miss out? Collins and Edgar are better centre halves so something had got to give.

Sharp wasn't effective yesterday. They were big and strong and to be honest played a very good game plan.

We had nothing down the left and when JCR went off had little down the right. Thinking back I can only remember one 'decent' cross and that was from Sammon, nobody got on the end of it though.

It was one of those games yesterday for me. On a different day we would've been 2up and safe.
