Can't remember a Blades centre back having such a dominant game, possibly ever since I've been going from the early 80's
 
So wanted him to get his hat trick. Was trying to think if I could remember a Blades defender getting one.
Interesting we scored 4 and not 1 from a striker
EEL MOM for me.
Halfway to legend status already!
 
EEL is absolutely shite I don't know why he keeps getting picked. Weak as piss never wins a header ,slow just utter shit ........................................... Of course this view will change the minute his loan becomes a permanent signing ;) let's not let Wolves think he is any good just yet.
 
Need to get a proper hardcore EEL chant rocking like the Ugo Eggnogg one that went on for about 30 minutes.

Great OP, added so much insight, so illuminating and definitely warranted a new thread despite the EEL main thread. I mean the lad headed the ball so many times and you're right he is a big man.
 
Do you know why the Eel has been so impressive and O'Connell as well?

They are both young, fit, strong and committed players, but they are both still young and callow. I genuinely think they are benefitting immensely from playing as a part of a back three and benefitting from having the solid and experienced Wright playing alongside them, which means neither of them leave United looking exposed when they push further forward, and Wright is a good insurance policy for both of them I case either of them makes an error. This also means that they can with a little bit of freedom, takes the pressure of both of them and gives both of them the confidence to demonstrate what good players they both are.

It's got Gary Cahill written all over it atm but we've had loan players before who've looked the business and faded after they've become permanent. I just trust CW. He'll know EEL's performances might attract the attention of clubs in a higher league or may convince Wolves to offer him a new deal and will be looking at potential replacements if the worst happens.
But I do think Kev and the prince will put their hands in their pockets if a deal can be done in the JTW.

Was just going to say we should still be able to outbid Rotherham and any of the other strugglers in the Champ...FiH! Have you seen the bottom of the Championship? There's probably only the Milllers who wouldn't be a threat.
