It's a shame a manager who brought us so many good times has managed to steadily erode the positive views the fans had of him. Everyone knows he's a limited manager, great on a tight budget and a bit clueless with cash to spend. Premier League failings aside his record of promotions is outstanding.
Ignoring where the comment's come from for a minute, the thing that winds me up is I don't know what this crop of players have to do to prove they're actually a bit talented. Some of these players annihilated League One. They took a season to adapt to the Championship before comfortably leaving that. Now they're more than holding their own against sides like Everton, Chelsea, Arsenal, and even put Liverpool through a tough game. I know everyone loves an underdog story, and I know we don't have any "world class" superstars in the team, but maybe some of these players deserve a bit more of a compliment than "bang average". Still, even after proving themselves for over three seasons now, that's what they're seen as.
