Yep, I was there! Just E and 'The Chet' on stage, and the support act was that BBC doc he made about his Dad.

They've never been to Sheffield since but I've seen them several times in Leeds and Manchester . Seeing them in Nottingham this Summer, too.

No it is shit, but it has been for a while and relatively famous people still came to the academy and stuff, now though any band you might have heard of or comedian that's been on a panel show seem to go everywhere but Sheffield unless they can fill the arena.

Most big acts that can fill the arena don't come anymore either since Leeds built their arena. Leeds building an arena slap bang in the middle of the city centre was obviously a big mistake. Sheffield had it right when they built it in a renovated slum

God, tell me about it. The money I've spent travelling the country cos no-one comes here.

I remember this came up on here before. Someone, I can't remember who (sorry!) said that the Leadmill had a great talent booking team who all received better offers and thus the quality of acts dipped sharply.
