Doesn't have to be the most technically gifted with the ball, in fact don't care if can't pass more than 5 yards.

Just an old fashioned CB blocker who has decent size, physicality and pace (unlike our current Captain Fantastic)

Agree with this. Even someone (cheapish) like Madine would have given us an out ball and assisted defence on set plays when Ollie's unavailable.
I guess the plan was Jebbo or Osula in such times but neither are available, or experienced enough for that job.
We really should have recruited such an option in the window.

I know he old but kyle mcfazdean to me could be a this seasons jake wtight, i never see him drop a bollock he is a presence at the back and effective at set pieces, and this isnt said just because hes a blade, just my take from seeing him play

We probably expected at least one of Jebbo & Osula to be available to us. And what better opportunity for them to gain the experience than during a season that many have already written off as a free hit.

They will both recover fitness soon. Whereas we are pitifully short at the back, Trusty & Bash to cover all 3 positions & lacking the personnel to play a 4.

I've been thinking about what it would like to play Trusty in the center, moving Egan to RCB. We appear to have all but given up on overlapping CBs, so we don't need a player who can get forward.

Then I'd like to see Anel play RWB (at least until Baldock is fit). We need height in the team, and we need Anel to get forward.

Until the last year or so, Egan was very good in the air and could battle out with the biggest centre forwards. He seems to have lost that ability.

Vestergaard is out of contract next summer. Could have a go for him

Liam Lindsay is one who's always stood out to me as an ideal CCB. Not very quick but has a good steady composure about him, and those aerial stats are decent. Left footed too so he'd be natural cover on that side as well. I feel he's now ready to step up and be part of a promoted team, if not quite a PL team. Would be a good one for next season at least

Cameron Humphreys from Rotherham is worth picking up. Superb against us every time, and looks like he could play all across a 3

McGuinness is probably a good shout too

Nathan Wood at Swansea might be the best shout of all. Out of contract next summer. 21 y/o. Seen some good passing stats and he's a good athlete who has played all across Swansea's defence in the last season or two, in a back 3 or 4, very often on the left despite being right footed. Cabango, who may also be worth consideration, is usually to his right
