Fine by me, I think they could encourage the multi-cultural population of what is modern day Sheffield that United are a club that embraces all cultures to spend a Saturday afternoon at BDTBL and cheer on the Blades.

A perfect example of football in the community.......................

....(c) Trevor Birch, about Tuesday next week as he overseas the third lorry-load of Vuvu's into the car-park.

I wouldn't worry I e-mailed the club telling them of the unfortunate scenes that would follow one being blown near me and got this reply:-
Dear Steve

Thank you for your email.

Musical instruments have always been prohibited from the Bramall Lane
stadium and 'vuvuzelas' will be treated in the same manner.

Added concerns about these instruments is the potential for drowning out
safety announcements and I believe most UK Clubs will ban them from
their stadiums.

Best regards

So in short they ARE banned. Come on. UTB

That's the most positive thing to come out of this pre season yet!

heh.. banned due to health and safety rules.. they 'finally' prove bloody useful.. whatever next.. total football??

Good work.

Without that ruling the Northen General would have been removing the things from their users' bottoms. Blow on that now yer buggers!

If somebody blows one of those things in my ear I will shove it where the sun don't shine, pointy end first.

Don't want em myself. Once was at a match at the Nou Camp 2-3 years ago and they were right annoying. Could see it starting some fights off on the kop if some twat kept doing that in your ear!

We were asked to get in touch and received the same response as TCsLoveChild with the added:

"Stewards will be rigorous in implementing this prohibition."

So there you go.
