Anybody any idea what that village was called a few coaches stopped in around 4-30pm on Wednesday before Sunderland game,we went with penny black but there was a couple of other coaches there aswell, for life of me can't think of name of village,we went in the wmc across from another boozer,it were like land that time forgot,cheers..

Was Doug McClure the landlord of the WMC or something?

I'm not being funny but Aldi do a California Merlot and it aint half bad. Indeed, its a good as Barefoot Merlot!
It was no way meant to be a ‘snooty’ post about Aldi ( I love red wine - but don’t like merlot but that’s a side issue). It was more a nod to the tendencies of our former manager’s penchant for a ripple.

The wife is in a wine club, the aldi stuff comes from the same vineyards that the posh wine club bottles do..

She unsubscribed..

Good old Eston.

Plenty of pubs for your lot to drink in, 10min wander down the road leads into Normanby village with plenty of pubs aswell. A few to pop into also on route.
