if were not in for johannsen at that price we must have somebody else lined up and that could be encouraging because johannsen has been one of the stand out keepers in the championship this season

Don't want too dampen you positive thinking especially has its such a rare sight on this forum..

But I'll just put this out there.
Somebody at the club not sure who thought Grbic was a Goalkeeper....

True! But we ain't the only ones ! Athletico Madrid had him for years ! Odd int it !

Only played 12 times for them I think, plus 22 for Lille in ligue 1 on loan. He's probably not as bad as he's looked.

Hope you’re right but normally when these things are confirmed. One poster puts it out and then within a few hours it’s said by 20 other posters.

Rather depends on whether Wilder can crush his ego into a matchbox and ask the Prince to a)forgive his mistake on Gbric , pay him up or take a loss - then b)give him more funds to get a proper goalie.
I fear the first inept move of this summer will be to retain Gbric and fail to recruit the kind of goalie you need for a promotion side.

How are you so consistently negative.

Wilder bombed Grbic already. Clearly wasn’t his signing. You can see his recent interviews he wants mainly British players like always.

thats not what ive heard very much doubt grbic will still be on the payroll after this season finished

I pray you're correct.
I suppose a good sign is that he keeps picking Wes , despite having introduced Gbric as "our new no.1 goalie".
What a daft statement for Wilder to have made

Negative ? No , just accustomed to the poor decisions at the Lane.
When you follow a club that makes one mistake after another , there has to be some apprehension about what's coming next.
Obviously you pray that common sense will prevail , but the club has got itself into a tricky situation re goalies.
Can Wes be persuaded to stay ?
Will we spend the money offloading Gbric and recruiting a proper goalie when there are so many other positions to strengthen ?
I'll have more confidence once I see some sensible decisions being made.

I've always considered that (ability to spot his own mistakes and be proactive) a strength of Wilders.

Well I hope so.
It's barely credible that we've gone from 2 top goalies in Hendo & Ramsdale to Gbric.
Maybe we can suggest that he just hasn't settled in Sheffield ...
And we're sad to lose him 🤣
The trouble is that I don't see how we can ship him out against his will ,
Coz he was quite happy to pick up his wages in Madrid with no prospect of playing and he could do the same here.
Four 4 fuckin years ...

It looks like he's out of contract next summer, and unlike keepers in the Championship like Johansson and Cooper I doubt he's on much of a salary at Lincoln.

Compare his stats with the Wednesday goalie who spent the 1st half of the season at Oxford

I watched him.live at one of the Lincoln games recently and he looks really good. Very tall, agile, commands his box well and made some good saves. Distribution was decent too. He's got a good pedigree, looks like he went to Lincoln to reignite his career.

I'd take him over Garbage all day long, but that's not really saying anything

Maybe we can come to a financial arrangement and say pay him 2 years wages to buy out his contract? Then fire him off to the moon.

Do you want the club to announce our interest in every target on the official website or something? They're not going to do that. Chris isn't going to bother his arse to actually tell us who he wants. We can only go off the rumours and the stronger they are, as this was, the more likely he wanted the player. Not difficult
