Wonder his reaction if he'd had 10 years of the footballing gods. In case any Bolton fans read this:

2006/07 - Unfairly relegated from the BPL by 1 goal

2007/08 - Bryan Robson almost gets us relegated from Championship

2008/09 - Miss out on automatic promotion on last day, lose to Burnley in playoff final by 1 goal

2010/11 - Relegated to League One after Gary Speed left us for the Wales job

2011/12 - Had a famous points advantage over Sheffield Wednesday only for our top goal scorer, Ched Evans to get sent down for a crime he has now been acquitted for. After slipping to 3rd on the final day of the season we lost a Play Off Final to Huddersfield (8-7) on penalties.

2012/13 - Beaten in Play Off Semi Final by Yeovil

2013/14 - After looking like relegation candidates for League Two, Nigel Clough saves our season narrowly missing out on the playoffs but reaching an FA Cup Semi-Final.

2014/15 - Although reaching the League Cup Semi-Final after a great run, we lose to Swindon Town 7-6 in the Playoff Semi-Final.

Don't talk to us about the f*cking footballing gods.

You missed 93/94- Relegated on the last day after that upstanding goalkeeper Hans Segers was “beaten” by a Graham Stuart pea-roller in the last minute whilst we conceded a last minute goal at Stamford Bridge”.

96-97- Beaten in a playoff final by a last minute wonder-goal by some ugly ginger twat.

97-98- Fantastic team on course to be promoted but Dane Whitehouse career ended by a horror tackle, coupled with Deane and Fjortoft sold on the same day tore us apart.

02-03- Oh so close on so many fronts. Finished 3rd behind Leicester who went into administration that season (before they started deducting points for administration).

06-07- That relegation you mention also happening because our star striker suffered a broken leg whilst the transfer window was closed and the goal that sent us down was scored by a player we’d released that season. But it wouldn’t have mattered if any of the following had come to pass

1. Kozzy’s perfectly fair goal at West Ham had stood

2. Rob Styles didn’t invent the rule of intent.

3. Liverpool had beaten Fulham instead of playing their reserves.

4. Man U had beaten West Ham instead of letting West Ham win in exchange for Carlos Tevez.

5. West Ham had been deducted the points they should have been if the panel wasn’t headed by Trevor Brooking.

I agree. There's nearly a quarter of the season left and, as teams like Scunny and Bolton hit a bad spell, others like Millwall and Southend are upping their game. In 2011/12 and with just 3 games left, we'd just gone on a 9-game uneaten run including a 6-game winning run. What could possibly go wrong? Link (Post #1300)

Those charts are a thing of beauty Grafik - but a tip is that the post number is a permalink which you can copy by right-clicking on the post number like this

“It's like the gods of football have a grudge against us.
What other team has a transfer embargo and this many players injured. The high earners too.”

What other team has a transfer embargo? Probably any team that breaks clearly defined FFP regulations I'm guessing.

You'd have to be a bit of a dozy twat to confuse the rules of the game with divine intervention.....

Pure Karma, wankers.
