“To paraphrase the rocky film, they won but they did not beat us.
If they are one of the best teams in the league, we have nothing to fear”

erm, alright then!
I’d have a slight concern about another relegation battle……..

They defended well for most of the game, lots of stops,freekicks.throw-ins etc made it difficult to play fluently. First 15 minutes of second half we did look abit more like ourselves. Good subs, Peck and Seriki changed the pattern and we scored. Probably hurts them more loosing by the odd goal than a stumping. Pride and points were at stake and we did what we needed to get both. Two weeks we're at Coventry, then Oxford at the lane before a friday night vs Sunderland at bdtbl. Great to enter the international break on 3 wins in a week. Hopefully all available for Coventry. Even Tom Davies could be back.

Only one Wednesday fan got it right - the rest must be secretly seething about our emerging young talent and very wary about their own future with the ageing team.

“United have those extra gears to go through, and have quality all over the pitch to make the difference, buying players like Burrows for £4m was a steal, hel’ll be worth at least 5 times as much as that if Utd go up, Souza, Hamer, Ohare, the youngsters that were brought on is the biggest difference, it’s a great blend and a way to raise cash and quality. “

Thank you Roy for what is a magnificent View From! Did I read that some of them cunts were happy with a 0-1 score line 😂 how many of em go on about how we didn’t batter em- it a Sheffield derby! We grinded out a result and that’s the most important result of the season

Ha ha

Once we scored that was it. We weren't going to concede to them, no matter what they think. We just sat back and let them huff and puff

They can whine about parachute payments all they like. But the difference between us and them is that our owners for quite a while now have made tough long term decisions to develop club infrastructure and a top class academy, there's hasn't. We reap the rewards of that

To save Roy the effort for the 2055-56 season:

“Better than I thought today.”

“Didn’t want to get to the League Cup second round anyway - it’s corrupt.”

“I know they made eleven changes and played the kids, but I thought Bannan held his own for the first four minutes. We’re the real winners.”

“Couldn’t hear them until the sixth goal went in.”

“They’re in the Prem. We’re in League Two. The 7-0 scoreline shows how poor they are really. When they wake up tomorrow they’ll be embarrassed.”

“We won a game once.”

“My Man City mate says they’re really missing us in the Premier League.”

“Carlton Palmer.”

“If you take out United’s seven goals, twenty-three corners and their 96% possession, we probably edged it.”

“We’ll do them at Hillsborough, as soon as the condemned building appeal decision comes through.”

You forgot to mention boxing day and attendances

Oh wow!! They really really look upto us. I was quite bashful reading that.
They really do have an inferiority complex.
Are...are we..now the massive? 🤣🤣

Thanks Roy, another belter.

Is there any wonder they get the reputation they do? I just don't know where to start assessing that lot, are we sure that they are just like us really?

That is of course rhetorical, they are thick deluded bastards with no grip on reality.

"And considering that match day squad cost over £40m there’s no shame in that.” It really didn't though, did it?

"Boxing Day was a contest between two evenly-matched teams; Remembrance Day wasn’t, and Dem Blades didn’t seize the opportunity." Sorry, what? You do know we won today, right?

"We’ll lose to all the parachute clubs, as we’ve got a poo team, but if United can’t avenge Boxing Day under these circumstances, then they never will.” Already avenged, pal. Ask Mark Duffy. Avenged in the most glorious of circumstances, on your turf, mid-bounce.

UTB.
