Plenty of room on the hill next to sixfields to see most of the pitch , don't beam back come on down .Should be a good un , Wilder and Knill absolute legends .

Do you think any Blades in the home end would have any problems (assuming they act respectfully of course)?

In 90% of the ground you'll be fine. Towards the top corner of the main stand it may be worth buttoning your lips!

Someone has had a look at our online ticketing and it looks like we've got about 100 empty seats in the ground in total, so any Blades looking to buy on the day may be disappointed.

From NTFC today ... just for you info:

"If you are driving to the game, please arrive early. A travelling funfair has hired the north gravel car park from the Homes and Communities Agency and so parking in this area will be limited for this game."

Has John Joe O'Toole got anything to do with this?

If you can't get into the match or find a place on the hill you could at least have a ride on the waltzer, then. Or you could go to the pictures or have a pizza. There's a lot more to Sixfields than just the football. There might even be some cricket on up the road at the County Ground.

Certainly is. First County Championship game of the season taking place against Glamorgan.

You can park up by the Walter Tull pub/ Pizza Hut area. Anywhere else ie. cinema you might get a ticket. You might get a drink in the Walter Tull but sometimes they don't allow away fans. The other eateries will let you have a drink, failing that there are pubs 15 minutes walk away if you're getting there early.

Hill related song snippet:

There's room at the top they are telling you still
But first you must learn how to smile as you kill
If you want to be like the folks on the hill

Favour please from those going Saturday.
Judging by the Northampton fans on here they still hold the gaffer in high regard. If and when the whole stadium starts singing his name would one of you record it and post it on here for us please.....
think it would be pretty special for us all to share.
Ta.

Living in the midlands I did think about watching from the Hill, the view looks OK. I went there when we lost to Coventry a few years ago 1-0 with the mighty Higdon!! Plenty of Cov fans were up there. It looks like enough are going to make it a good atmosphere anyway, whatever the view.

I might even come in full ecclesiastical regalia!

Never thought I'd be able to go to another game for a while (have a 6-month old baby), but could I go to the hill (with her) and watch from there....? Hmmmm.....

Very interested now!
