“Can you be delighted and also completely numb at the same time? That’s how I felt when we scored.”

Summed up their fans reaction at an equaliser at the end of the game. This made the whole thing even more frustrating. But what more can we do. It reminded me of the League 1 days that result

Can’t argue with any comment.

Frustrating beyond belief.

Cheers Panchero!

I don't know enough about Stoke to know how any (if any) of their team were Prem players last season, but by god they were one the clumsiest bunches I have seen in a long time.

Feels like we were robbed of two points.

How on earth did Enda miss that open goal? I said to Mrs Grappler on the way out, it took twice as much skill to miss than it did to score!!, if you had said to any player, "stand in front of this goal, now, kick the ball, but put it over the net!", they wouldn't have been able to do it. A game crying out for Billy Sharp in the box.

Ah well, onwards we go.

'Good noise from the Stokies'?? I have not heard so much silence from away fans for a long, long time. Five minutes at the start, until they realised we were running rings round them and ten minutes at the end, leading up to the goal and after. Other than that nothing.
You can always judge a, how well we are playing and b, how poorly the away side is performing from the singing of their. fans.
But deary me John Street, please join in with the kop, I'm sick of singing on my own.

I feel that we have been robbed by a very weak ref - a ridiculous free kick where Crouch was hardly touched and a clear cut penalty at the end where their guy handled the ball

They are right to question how such a team put together at great expense can perform like that. Having said that Leon and McG were causing their defence, who were very poor, loads of problems and we should have taken advantage.

Seemed to me that all those comments focused on how shit they were and nothing about how we absolutely dominated that match.
That's how entitled you get when you have spent 10 years in the Prem.

Mind you - can't believe some of the bollocks some are spouting after a performance like that.
We were fantastic for most of the game. It's a long time since we have been playing anywhere near the level of football we are now.
I, for one, am thoroughly enjoying it.
and i believe the results will come (not that they aren't coming already as we sit joint top)

... and I'm fucking sick of the midweek M1 closures south of Nottingham.
Fecking signs say it's a 10 min detour yet they then funnel you into a single file for 2-3 miles with a roundabout at the end controlled by traffic lights.
Should have got back before midnight and ended up getting back just before 01:00

Struggling to remember the last away fans to actually make allot of noise !? never have away fans make the noise like our lot made at Derby on Sat
i know we at home aren't the best vocally ( certainly not as bad as some make out though) but away followings since we have come up have been really poor Imo

Thanks Roy! Pretty much conclusive that on the night we were miles ahead of them other than the nobber who thought we were almost as bad, what was he watching?
I thought we played really well again but we have to start scoring more goals or we put real pressure on our defence, in almost every game the other team have a good ten minutes & if they score we struggle to win. Still I have to say some of our football is delightful to watch & I would rather watch this than long ball-itis.

Thanks Roy. Interestingly i tried to view this on "Vital forums" but the link didn't work, on here it does.

Thanks again

Cheers mate, I'll check that out. Was tired and emotional last night so I probably didn't post the link correctly

Perhaps nobber was asleep for the first 75 minutes?
