Very bitter.
I used to live in Rotherham, wife was a Rotherham lass.
Some bloke in a pub said that he will refuse to talk to me because anyone from Rotherham that supports either Sheffield club is a disgrace and isn't worth talking too.

I said "I'm not from Rotherham" but he wasn't having any of it.

Looking back I can see his point, WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD MOVE THERE.

My parents both sheffielders both moved to brinsworth when they married . Brinsworth is a mixture of all supporters , went back to boozer last night and we were all chatting to eachother even when the Wendy lot came back from Forrest we all shared friendly banter

God almighty. .The childish bickering amongst football supporters is cringeworthy. .lol ffs

Got no respect for Evans and none for the Rotherham fans after hearing all the comments for the last week on how they will do this, do that, how they will batter us and just how many they will score blah blah blah. If they had Webb as the ref Evans would still be whingeing and complaining as he always does when things don't go his way, a typical bully.
Like the Millers fan on FH before the game saying it will be men against boys and an easy 4-0 win! :)

When your Evens could keep his calm on the touch line control his players and not scream at them at the same time his deputy dog screaming other orders to the players. They might have had a small chance against the kids. A game starts when the Ref blows his wistle and is over when he blows for full time who scores the most goals in between those times has WON. the Blades did score a goal there are no rules saying it has to come from open play or a standard situation. Reading reports from Rotherham fans I dont think your are mature enough for a higher league.

I too live am from Sheffield but live in Rotherham, the Millers fans really do not like it when you live in Rotherham and support one of the Sheffield clubs. To be fair though at their place when we lost me and a few of the Treeton Blades went boozing in Rotherham with the Millers and the banter was good fun and never once turned nasty. I just had to convince em I lived in Handsworth till I was 11 haha. Some of their comments are bitter but the vast majority wish us well for the Semi final, I think expecting to win and then losing against a "weak" side is enough to turn most people a bit bitter. I do still like the Millers but some of their new glory fans (since the new stadium was built) make them look like cocks.

This.

Married into a Roth' family and they're all season ticket holders and have been for decades. We get along fine and they quite like our lot. On the other hand they hate the pigs.

It's no surprise that a younger bunch have started going since the move back to Rotherham and to an admittedly nice stadium. And youth always breeds arrogance and stupidity.
