We didn't play hoof ball at all.
We played the right ball at the right time which included some long stuff on occasions.

Like Rochdale and have no axe to grind with their fans. Think its a bit rich when some of our lot start dishing abuse out on threads like this. They are a fraction of our size and I an guessing that they are just pleased to be in this league having spent years in division 4.
Feel for clubs like them when they have both Manchester clubs on their doorstep.
As for our fans complaining we will have to wait and see.
For me we used to have a soft underbelly - last night we had 4 grafters in midfield - Flynn, Doyle, Basham and Coutts. Murph did his fair share too and it only left Mcnuts up front. His goal looked supreme and from the angle he was at and how he must have opened up his body, I reckon it is one of "our" contenders for goal of the season. Cant wait to se it from the TV angle - just hope the TV was in their main stand.
We were not pretty but it was no where near long ball. They pushed on, being at home and at times Harris put balls down the left channel for Murph/Done to run into - perhaps that was the perception of long ball - for me it was more of an out let and channel football.
What I did notice is we played a pressing game - as they brought it out at least one of our players pressed the man with the ball and a few times the team forced R'dale to play it back to the goal keeper, bringing applause from our fans. So, far from hoof ball - we were just solid and did a job on them.
One thing is for sure - if any of our fans criticise our performance (and they DID NOT GO last night) then they should think twice before commenting. We simply did a job, got 3 points, played reasonably well without being spectacular, against a difficult and tricky opponent on their own patch.
JOB DONE as they say - we move on. Their pitch was excellent btw.

My MOM - young Kennedy - strong, resilient, no nonsense - up and at em type - Morgan must be having an influence. We need to stand him in a box of peat with some "gro more" in it - the kid could do with a few more inches.
It looked like hoof at times to me, but they did the same. The difference was that they had Vincenti to aim at, we had McNuts and then Done (who ran around a lot and achieved little).
The whole thing was scrappy, we won virtually no headers in midfield (inc Basham) and they picked up most of the second balls from our clearance headers.
Despite that, I felt we deserved to win, they didn't put us under much pressure, despite us inviting them to as we defended deeper, I've been much more nervous hanging on to a lead away from home.
I agree with your comments re Rochdale Bladesway, but I haven't really read any abuse towards them from our fans other than Pommpeys comments which I totally agree with, what was the basis for the silly comment from that Rochdale supporter anyway ?.
Didn't go last night Fulwood but sounds good enough to me, don't care now how we win as long as we do and achieve our ultimate goal of getting out of this league. Young Tel continuing to impress is music to my ears, and great to see DCL at least on the bench last night, nice one Nigel.
Yeah, but those moaning about sideways and backwards were 90% wrong and less than intelligent. Having played nice stuff, and used aimed long balls well, early doors we did end up hoofing too much, there's no denying that.It wasn't a million years ago that some fans were complaining that the ball went sideways and back and bemoaning more direct play. I wasn't at the match yesterday and stand to be corrected by those who were, but if the Blades were able to mix it up, and away from home use long passes (hoofs) in order to grind out the points in this league, then good. It's up to the opposition to do something about it if it's just average.
rochdale hit it long more than us we won thats all that matters. The hoofing was mixed with some good passing at the start, and had more of an aim, but it got worse as the game went on.
It isn't abuse CKLM. It's an observation against a mardy-arse wanker on their site. Like I say, how many teams have rocked up at The Theatre of Despair and ran us through, yet people come on here extolling truths about our proven shitness and the superiority of opposition teams?
Plenty.
This twatflannel seems to think we should feel a itty-biddy-bit guilty that we played like cunts yet still beat their team. Twice.
Just >< is the universe's smallest violin for him. Maybe one day he will stop handling his mums underwear in a disturbing manner and bursting the pustules on his face whilst listening to Evanesence whilst taking odd photographs of himself for facebook. Or summat.

Yeah, but this 'boo-hoo, y did u beet uz you horid bastids' shit is beyond the limit. Rochdale isn't a pariah club or city. They are there for the taking and yes, if we win dirty, then so be it. How many times have we had teams come to BDTBL and wipe their arses with us and we have had to admit we are shitola?
Suck it up buttercup Rochdale fans

I noticed even Millwall managed to lose 0-3 at home to a bunch of no-hopers. Shit division and nothing for us to fear next season.
)It was a bit of a piggy wankfest wasn't it, still Radio pig never disappoint you would be forgiven for thinking they had just beat Real Madrid 3-1 away rather than a piss poor Millwau.Just listening to Football 'Heaven' and I revise my opinion. Apparently it was a 'fantastic', 'awesome' and 'brilliant' performance. Promotion is now back on (but not 'Europe in 5 years' - they'll just have to wait for the Ladyboyz takeover...)
Personally, I'm delighted they won. Wouldn't want them sacking Gray and getting a proper manager in...)
I agree Mi Lord, thought it was a very average team performances, a lot of hoof ball after we went 2-0 up, can't understand it just the same as at Notts County :/ with the players we have should be able to close games down without panic. Nice to see Fynn playing again, Cutts needs to up is game though! One comment from Rochdale was that we were bang average . Got to agree with that .
Poor league and the quicker we get out the better.

“Well done for beating the smallest team in L1 and doing the double on us, bet you’re so proud.”
