Fair do's that.

I agree. Posh deserved at least a point. They created more, even if most chances were shots from 20-25yrds.

Also, yep. The stadium is like a library most weeks. But that's because we are quite literally bored.

cheers roy

they must have been to a different game to me today

“Sheff utd broke the world record for the quietest 18000 people ever. Shocking”

What match were they watching then?

Same as me.

What did we play? 98 mins. How many minutes did we sing for?? 2, 3 ? Seriously, it was quiet. You get the oohs and aahs, but there was no singing apart from the "singing section" of the Kop. I'm on Gangway F on south and its quiet, believe me. Quiet to the point where I can't sing even if I want to because there aren't enough people nearby singing so I'd ultimately be "that bloke" singing on his own.

I don't think they can say they were unlucky as such; it's not like they rattled the woodwork and were undone by some bizarre refereeing decisions. If anything they were incredibly lucky by getting the rub of the green on countless occasions and then failing to capitalise.

That's not to say they didn't contribute to a decent game; they did and on another day could have come away with a draw or even a win. But they didn't because we battled like mad.

The 12 men of Posh couldn't beat Moore so on that note they deserve fuck all, in fact we missed the better chances over the 90. When you have a ref giving you every opportunity you can't moan when you lose.

I can't disagree with any of the comments tbh. They probably had more of the game and did deserve something, not that I'm ever going to have a problem with us getting points like that. I also agree that the Stadium/crowd was quiet.. Though it was a little better than usual.

A couple more months of battling performances and I can see the atmosphere lifting considerably

More possession and considerably more shots on target shows they deserved more.
I'm delighted at a win but you have to be thankful for Moore. M.O.M by a country mile.

Take off your rose tinted glasses, be respectful, admit we were second best and be happy for the 3pts mate.

Agree 100%

Apart from the last idiot saying it was quiet, it wasn't today, pretty fair comments, I think it was an equal game and we won, either of the other results couldn't have been argued with though.

Good game overall.

Peterborough fans shouldn't be unhappy after that. They were good, and if they play like that they'll win most away games they play and give plenty of teams a hammering. They've got some very good players.

Didn't think it was that quiet but it was quieter than it should've been.

Take of your rose tinted glasses mate.

That's what happens though isn't it. It's not about the chances you create in the end, it's how many you put away and keep out that determine a result. Bar 1 chance most of their efforts were from outside the box or crosses that we dealt with.
They out ran us in midfield for large periods but hit a brick wall when trying to break our defence and spent half of their possession running and passing sideways. Very pretty at times but no end product.
We on the other hand moved forward much quicker and with more purpose. That's how I saw it anyway.

He's an idiot.
There were closer to 19,000 home fans.

I suppose you putting down the Blades makes a change from you bigging up the pigs. If you can't be happy after today I wouldn't fkin bother.

“This league looks very open, and promotion there for the taking for any teams that can put some consistent good form and results together.

^^^^^^
This. Don't want to sound like Mark Lawrenson but this season really is a marathon and it will be our ability to wring results out from games when we don't play that well that will be critical. By all accounts (didn't get along today) the goalie won us the points which is great. IMO, we have had more of the game in so many matches in recent years but missed our chances and (more importantly) given up cheap goals that I'm delighted to hear that we defended resolutely and the keeper played well.

Also hear that Che enjoyed his evening. Bless

Think there's some fair comments from their fans, they probably did deserve a point out of the game (a bit like us at Bolton on the opening day). First 20 mins we were on top, rest of the first half even, 2nd half they were the better team for me. But as Jimmy Squirrel once said "if ye dinnie score, ye dinnie win".

Who's not happy? Its 4 from 4, its 3pts. Points that we wouldn't have got last season, we ground those out today, that wasn't easy. Same as Wimbledon, should've been 6-1 up but ended up 3-2 and having to dig in hard for last 15. I'm ecstatic that we have some fight back. Adkins would've lost today and he would've lost at Wimbledon.
I never said I was unhappy, all I said is that Peterborough deserved a point. Which they did.
As someine else says above, they'll win more away games than they lose if they play like that.

If you want, I can call P&G saying we're gonna win the league now we've won 4 on the bounce? I could. But that would make me delusional.

"aesthetically pleasing stadium"
I think Gary Sinclair should replace "the oldest professional sports stadium in the world" with this.

1-0 to the Blades v Posh....who'da thunk it!?!?
Lol...

Tread carefully mate. The usual doom and gloom merchants are now fighting with their other hand tonight. I guess 4 wins in a row is the tipping point for gloom to change to praise. Some folk are realistic and can see we still have work to do.
Very happy with the result, dug in hard to get that. Nice to see players throwing themselves in front of the ball again.

I can see why they'd feel entitled to a point, and on some days could've nicked all three. On the other hand, even for the periods of the second half where they were dominating, we were still getting some good chances away. Fantastic save from Done's first chance, and it's not like him to fail to score from those. Another great save from Scougall's effort. Done's late lob maybe would've found the net on other days. Duffy not quite curling it enough to find the right side of the post. And as someone hinted above, a few of their better chances came from lucky bobbles and bounces around the box.

Don't think anyone expected this to play out as a tight 1-0 for either side. Not even at half-time. But the rub of the green could've gone heavily in our favour as easily as against it.
