Some horrendous comments from fans with absolutely no sense of the huge stroke of luck that has befallen them.
Don’t get me wrong, they are a fantastic team, but one put together at a cost that surely breaks whatever half-baked rules are put in place to keep a lid on overspending, yet all they can do is sneer. Wish they had all f****ed off to their super league. Or maybe they can just move lock stock and Barrel as a team to Qatar, and enjoy playing “proper” football and count their money together.
That said, in some agreement about the way we approached the game. We looked terrified of them until McBurnie came on, he played like someone who belonged on the same pitch. The ball across for the Anel chance was sublime.
Yes, McBurnie was a great catalyst, he seemed to find time and space where the rest of our team couldn’t.

theyre able to win titles and cups playing excellent because they’ve allegedly broken every FFP rule in the book, like about no the 10 teams in the EPL, until this is sorted and there’s some sort of levelling out teams that keep in within the rules are aLeah’s going to be disadvantaged.

I for one cannot wait for the euro super league so these and the rest of the top six fuck off
I was very much against this but now have done a 180 on it. I hope they piss off to their Superleague and are never allowed back.
Give proper football back to the proper fans who deserve it.
Oh, and they can take their bent officials with them!!

Thats exactly my feeling on it these days. When it inevitably comes round again, I really hope theres some clubs or people in football that come out and speak up in favour of them fucking off and not coming back.

They are sucking the life out of football.
Let's spend £1 billion and guarantee to win everything. Where's the excitement or jeopardy in that? It's just shit. I wouldn't watch them if I lived in Manchester. They can fuck off to another league if they want, maybe setup base in Saudi for their league.

I have met and worked with some genuinely lovely people in Manchester..BUT....as already said, there is something in the water over there that means every time they become successful, large groups of their population feel a need to look down on everyone and everything else around them, whilst mistakenly believing that the rest of the North looks up to them.

I don't care how many shiny towers they stick up, or how many crumby shops or canal side flats they cobble together, Manchester will always be an over hyped and overpriced shit hole, full of cocky wankers who think they are ten times bigger than they really are.

If I could sum Manchester's perception of itself, vs how shit some of us actually think they are, using an institution, I would use Manchester Airport. On the outside it encapsulate all the assured self confidence of being a world leader, and amongst the very best at what they do. When in reality it's leaky ceilings, badly designed facilities, arsey staff, long queues and just a general feeling of hopelessness and despair.

If I had to use a musical example, it would be Oasis when they made it big. Cocky, up their own arse wankers who pretended to be genre defining, whilst just recycling tired riffs from older and much better songs, with the addition of boring, repetitive vocal lines. It's about right they support these twats as well.
Well Stretch, I've lived in Manchester for many years and to be honest that just about sums Mancunians up. I always wanted to return home to Gods Own but unfortunately due to circumstances I don't think its gonna happen. I work with people that have brand new City scarves and wow do they do wind me up!

Everything is set up and geared towards keeping those who spend the most money at the top. In reality, the top 10 of the Premier League is already a closed shop and moving towards the American model anyway.

The rest of the league is full of also rans who are viewed as if they should just be happy to be there. The fact that for some teams, qualifying for the Europa League is a club in crisis absolutely says it all. At least the Championship retains some form of competition.

The new complaint: they've assembled one of the best and most expensive squads in history but the poor old City fans rarely get to enjoy what it's capable of because other teams cruelly and selfishly play defensively. I mean Hecky really ought to be ashamed of himself, setting up his team so they don't get double figures put past them.

We've really lost sight of what football is about: making sure city fans are entertained. No one thinks of the poor, hard done by city fans. Wonder what they feel about boxers that put their guard up?

I've only recently met two Man City fans, unfortunately I work with them, both claim they have been Man City fans all their life ones 40 ones 55, both claim they have season tickets, both don't live in Manchester, both never know who they are actually playing if you ask them unprepared pre weekend, both will have no idea who the likes of Paul Dickov, Uwe Rosler, kinklazde are. So based on my personal experience and Roy's view from I'm going all out and saying shit club, shit so called fans, spoilt undeserving boring win all the time bastards.
I bet they know Helen the 🔔 either.

Bitter comments from sad entitled fans expecting to destroy us but instead we actually stood up to them and gave them a fright so they try to belittle us instead. Pathetic

Multiple comments saying we are the worst PL team they’ve ever seen :(

Still scored against em (which no one else had managed so far this season) and made them sweat a bit - and to be fair none of those commenters probably saw 2007 Derby County as they wouldn’t have been Man City fans back then as they hadn’t been bought by Abu Dhabi yet!

The entitlement stinks in their comments.

I’m on holiday and was sat next to a family with two young uns in city kits at the hotels entertainment.

I leant over and said you were lucky yesterday! Very unseriously. They looked at me like I was an alien…”why?” They said. I said the game against us blades. They were like…”oh did they play?” - I said yeh and we gave you a game. They shrugged, asked the score and said ah well, we don’t really watch em. From Manchester too: ffs.

We had the same from Leicester City fans a few years ago after they had won the Premier League. They acted like they were Real Madrid and had been a top team for most of their existence.
At least we all know we won't ever get that arrogant and cuntish.
utb
I think a billionaire owner who spends at the Land would put that to the test

At the time I was happy for them to do the treble but now they can bollocks. Fuck right off Man City. I will applaud your every opponent from now on and you are now on my list of teams I fucking detest

What a bunch of nonsensical half wits. They actually want a newly promoted team, they have roundly accused of being “shit” to go toe to toe with their billion pound set of superstars….Twats

Very childish thinking from the Man City fans, assuming that City get to rock up at the Lane and dictates how we play - that we should play the game City are good at, instead of using our best weapons

Also not realising that our purpose was bigger than this game - our purpose was staying 17th. That meant not getting battered. And we achieved that. Very nearly hung onto a point too. So, sorry we ruffled your players' pretty feathers (not sorry)

Choosing not to rise to some of their comments, as it won't add to my life in any way. Next weekend it'll be another set of fans to ignore most of, and repeat.....

Regardless of the fans, I think City bossing the league again will work in our favour, putting pressure on the teams like L'pool, Arsenal and Man Yoo, that are more likely to slip up against us than City.

Although they were joined by the referee in trying to dictate how we play.

Worth remembering that most of the City fans you'll encounter online:
  • Started supporting them after they started winning titles
  • Have very little knowledge of football outside of Champions League contenders
  • Think FIFA is an accurate depiction of football in real-life
  • Have very little grasp of football finances
  • Think City's various FFP infringements are the result of a witchunt rather than systematic cheating
Taking all of that into account, it doesn't surprise me that they expect us to attack them and get picked off 6-0.

I imagine Burnley were widely praised for playing proper football against City. And then losing 9-0 across two matches.

The only real shame about the City game is that Baldock didn't break Grealish in two.

The Man City fans that produced the absolute shite in Roy’s View From, calling us ‘cowards’ and ‘shit’ obviously don’t remember the days pre 2008 when they had absolute donkeys and downright thugs like Ben Thatcher and Danny Mills playing for them when they were skint. They were a lower mid table Premier League side plagued with financial troubles before the oil billions arrived.

Also, they cannot be old enough to remember that they used to be tenants in their present ground thanks to renting it after the 2002 Commonwealth Games.

Bollocks to them.
