“Hardest 3 points we've got so far this season” “we’ve been in a game here today.”“Great performance from Sheffield United. I didn't expect that” “Even as a Liverpool fan I can say harsh result for Sheffield United. If they keep up that style they will gave A LOT of the “top 6” some scary days.”“Notroysviewfrom.com
Sorry, but that comment is bang out of order.Shower of spastics
I fall into the bad habit of discussing scousers in this way. Yet actually, it’s not them I find so annoying, it’s the fucking plastics.Just as quite a few of them have changed their views on Utd and Wilder, and in general their views before and after the match have been very measured by social media standards, it would be good to see some of our Scouse haters recognise that their fan base includes all sorts of people. And we should cut them some slack; after all, they’ll never see their team win the League 1 Championship (probably).
You think the guy who wrote "Go Reds" is a plastic?
I wasn't aiming to be a misery about it - there are good jokes to be had about stereotypes, and I am always willing to play the part of the tight-fisted Yorkshireman, particularly when it gets me out of buying my round... But some of the stuff can be quite vicious, and for no good reason appears to be attacking a large number of people who don't deserve it.I fall into the bad habit of discussing scousers in this way. There’s plenty of top people come from Liverpool (and everywhere for that matter).

“The clean sheet was due to their lack of quality up top when under pressure more than anything. I’m sure a load of teams are gonna go there and get turned over. They try to play decent footy and have a great crowd behind them. Credit where credits due. They aint bad, they just came up against a side today who don’t know when they’re beat.”
Don’t forget when the ref was pointing at his watch in added time as Stevens was trying to make the most of an attacking throw in.This was actually raised by my Liverpool mate on the journey back from the game. I didn’t think we’d done much of it, but he took exception in particular to:
- Henderson with most goal kicks (he was annoyed that Adrian in contrast was singled out for the same)
- O’Connell kicking the ball away to delay a free kick (think he was booked for this)
- our ball boys reluctance to hand the ball back and “hardly a coincidence that there were some areas of the pitch where there weren’t any”.
While not noticing this at the time, on reflection I think that’s probably fair enough. It’s the sort of thing that you probably don’t notice as much if it’s your team doing it, but when it’s the opposition any instance colours your perceptions.
I noticed it from the 1st minute LB, we took an age with everything and I mean everything, it was doing my head in as I can’t fucking stand time wasting. This was actually raised by my Liverpool mate on the journey back from the game. Avoiding relegation will be good enough for me, given how far we’ve come, the timeframe, and the modest investment.Until Wilder finds the key to unlock our forward partnership, and the midfield to supply them, this will be our season. The right attitude and a great work ethic just won't find enough goals.
He has raised the players expectations, and also what the fans want. Avoiding relegation is already not good enough.
I noticed it mate and did wonder that Taylor didn’t do anything about it earlierThis was actually raised by my Liverpool mate on the journey back from the game. I didn’t think we’d done much of it, but he took exception in particular to:

No disrespect, but even an optimist like me can see. With a little more polish, we can be even better this season. It's an opinion, that's all.Avoiding relegation will be good enough for me, given how far we’ve come, the timeframe, and the modest investment.
Anyone expecting more needs to give their head a wobble.
I think there’s a good chance we could finish mid table. But I don’t expect it, that’s my point. No disrespect, but even an optimist like me can see. With a little more polish, we can be even better this season. It's an opinion, that's all.
We have seen how well we can play against Southampton and now, Liverpool. They just scored more than we did. We created chances in both games but goals need to be scored to win games like these. The optimist in me says, it will come.
I don't have the answers, maybe Wilder does?
It might just be a joke, just saying?“Joe Elliott, Sean Bean, Colin Wanker, Michael Palin, Dave Bassett, Joe Root, can you hear me, can you hear me, your boys took a hell of a beating, your boys took a hell of a beating!”
One nil is hardly a hell of a beating, you fucking idiot.
