Rover fan review:

I have a question about this sort of video in general.

Why do people do this? Wouldn't every single one of us make our excuses and leave (as the NoTW used to say) if someone started wittering on in the pub like that? And yet the whole web is full of self important gobshites and bratty, spoiled teens doing their best Gary Neville impression. It's the football pundit equivalent of playing air guitar.

There is a positive to come out of it, which is the excuse I normally reserve for the likes of Garth Crooks and Glenn Hoddle, which is that while they're cooped up in a studio/car/bedroom broadcasting their inane crap they're actually prevented from annoying actual people in real life. So it is with this fellow. No wonder he's alone in that car.

Nice comments there
And I thought we weren't that good at doing what we are usually good at.

We sat in deep, got behind the ball and broke away well, but we are used to seeing us pinning the defence in the final third a lot more than we did tonight

It was a great tactic on Wilder's part. One of his finest tactical moments tonight nullifying their pace. We usually use our A Game to nullify threats but tonight we really looked well drilled. Kept possession and used it very well. Bloody brilliant.

I said on the Billy Sharp thread that sitting in deep to break away was something we didn’t do last season when we were drawing. I like the dynamic nature of this side.

There are games like Villa and Bolton which we will totally dominate when we hit the early goal, however there are games like this where we have to sit in and invite teams on by maintaining possession deeper or even letting the opposition have the ball so that we can go with plan B

This win is almost as impressive as the Villa win as it was entirely different and required more thought.

Absolutely, maybe it's our new game plan away from home in tricky games
Our performances certainly need a touch more professionalism than we've seen lately despite the wins

Thanks Roy well done on turning that around tonight but makes great late night reading .. I need a parasetomol as this cheddar cheese smile is making my cheeks ache ! ...I was wondering what feedback we’d get after the pre match compliments if we came away with the 3 points ,, but fair play there an honest lot and called it fair ... not keen on the drink but they’re tag line sums it up

Chuffed with the win considering their home record and most importantly, a clean sheet. Same again Saturday lads (just keep em coming). :)

Which Billy Sharp thread?;)

Cheers Roy.

Great to get reviews like that considering we weren't really playing our usual game, at times it looked a bit like we were focussing on containment more than anything.

A great 3 points. Let's keep it up on Saturday.

Containment ?did you watch the 1st half especially ? we were so dominat although I feared another Bristol

At times.

Just that we don't normally do "considered defending" for lack of a better term, we usually play our way and then have spells where we're a bit flustered and they come at us and we either get through it or concede, last night however, we played our way going forward but at the back were really Italian, like the national team used to be when they actually used to qualify for the World Cup.

Didn't see them scoring if we played for another 90.
